If I had a time machine I would travel back in time and stop U2 from
ever getting together, or at least do something to make Bono not enjoy
wearing goofy sunglasses so much.
Woodstock would have been disgusting. I wouldn't have been able to get over the wretched hippie stench to actually enjoy the music. Watching the movie is DEFINITELY an infinitely better way of "being" there. Though there aren't actually any filthy hippies there with you for you to beat down while you listen to Hendrix rip open another dimension. Oh well, at least they got it right at Altamont...hippies, meet pool cues!

1971: Shea Stadium

Grand Funk Railroad continues as one of the top touring bands of their time, selling out concerts in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Japan and South America.

They even sell out New York City's Shea Stadium faster than the Beatles did.
