If you had a time machine and it would only let you travel backwards in time(and return home) to see any band.Who would it be?

My first trip would be to see U2 circa 79-80 to see in Dublin, Or there first tour of the US and see them in Boston

If I had a time machine I would travel back in time and stop U2 from
ever getting together, or at least do something to make Bono not enjoy
wearing goofy sunglasses so much.
Woodstock would have been disgusting. I wouldn't have been able to get over the wretched hippie stench to actually enjoy the music. Watching the movie is DEFINITELY an infinitely better way of "being" there. Though there aren't actually any filthy hippies there with you for you to beat down while you listen to Hendrix rip open another dimension. Oh well, at least they got it right at Altamont...hippies, meet pool cues!

I'm sure I would have most likely been miserable with all those people and the stench and whatnot, but I'm thinking the drugs would've made me forget all about it
