Since that other SNL poll is a little uneven, I decided to try one of my own. For years now I've been only half-heartedly watching SNL until after the Weekend Update segment, and then going to bed. Even that's starting to be too painful now. It's difficult for it to compete with the Daily Show or The Colbert Report.

So who's your favorite anchor? If you're crazy enough to vote for "Other" you'd better be able to justify why you think Charles Rocket, Brad Hall, Brian Doyle-Murray or Horatio Sanz is better than Norm MacDonald who I think should be the hands-down winner.

(Also, Mary Gross and Christine Ebersol were in there - but c'mon?)

Can I cast an anti-vote for Colin Quinn?

I STILL can't believe they passed on Jeffrey Ross for Weekend Update and instead went with fucking Fallon and Fey. What a lost opportunity there. What a joke that show has become.

Despite my hard on for Tina Fey, Norm was the funniest host. All Norm has to do is start speaking and I bust out laughing.
How bad was Brad Hall? There's unfunny and then there's unfunny were you need to punch something.

Colin Quinn on update was just painful to watch, but Brad Hall took it to another level of stank. On a sidenote...Did Nora Dunn ever wear a shirt without big ass shoulder pads? Just something I noticed.

And Tina Fey's sense of humor must have left her when she had that baby. I don't get a single laugh out of Weekend Update anymore (even with Amy Poelher's wacky faces after every punchline).

BTW, I voted for Norm McDonald, he was the best. Colin Quinn is a strong second, though.

Norm - without even reading what anyone else had to say. Balls out the funniest. I liked Dennis at the time, but have since soured on him. The current duo is pretty funny, and I will always love Dan and the ignorant slut, Jane.

Norm was and is the king of WU. The less the audience laughed, the more I ended up howling...

Though I've liked the Fey/Fallon, Fey/Poehler(sp?) combos, too.

Norm or Aykroyd+Curtain, Dan Aykroyd just had a great fake anchorman delivery.

Put my vote for Aykroyd since Norm is far ahead.
