Story: <a href="http://ansa.it/main/notizie/awnplus/english/news/2006-01-31_681422.html">http://ansa.it/main/notizie/awnplus/english/news/2006-01-31_681422.html</a>An Italian soccer team is forced to play it's next home game at a neutral site and in an empty stadium due to the behavior of it's fans.  In this instance it involved Nazi symbols but apparently the problem of racism is rampant in Italian soccer.  I saw a report in which the players, league wide, delayed the start of games in protest after an incident in which fans threw bananas onto the field and made monkey sounds at an African player.Obviously something needs to be done but it seems a little harsh to punish the team.  If the NFL took up this policy, the Eagles might never have another home game again.What American team do you think has the most obnoxious fans?  Obviously I'm biased against Phily.  What's your opinion?  We'd like to know.

Takes me all of 3 seconds to immediately think of Duke....ESPECIALLY when Patrick and Vitale are doing the game and spend most of the game slurping Coach K and (for now) the impossibly awful JJ Redick...

Philadelphia fans are the most heinous, hands down.  Hell, they pelted Santa Clause with snowballs/iceballs for absolutely no reason!  Going to a sporting event in Philly (especially football) is like entering a DMZ; better watch your back...

 Yep. A well deserved bad reputation in every sport. Football fans are the worst in the league.   Also an awful city with absolutely nothing to do after 8:00. If you're thinking of going to Philly, dont.

WHOA.Philly haters.  First of all, since the new stadium was built and ticket prices went up, most of those fans from the 700 section in the 'ol vet are gone.  It is a nice stadium and there is a better crowd.  They're still football fans and they can get just as rowdy as any other football fan in any other city... but the times of bringing fans down by the dozens to a in house court and jail are over.  And as for nothing to do after 8pm?  Crazy talk.It's got all that NYC has to offer - just less crowded.  And better sports fans.  <img src="http://www.ronfez.net/messageboard/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/cool.gif" border="0" />

 Now THAT'S crazy talk.  All the NYC has to offer? Like what, cheesesteaks at 3am served by a guy who hasn't shaved in a week? I'll pass. And the sports fans have the worst reputation in the country. I'll agree that Philly has just as much fun stuff to do and style as New Orleans. After Katrina. No, scratch that. I'd rather be in N.O. after a disaster then spend another weekend in Philly. Actually, I'd rather be dead than spend another weekend in Philly.  I mean really, dead/Philly what's the difference?
