I saw ONE of those movies on the long list. The Corpse Bride.

Ehh, I'll root for that one just because I saw it. All the rest can go scrath their asses with a broken bottle.

The only movies I've seen on that list are Crash and March of the
Penguins. March of the Penguins was alright, but I'd already seen
something like that on the Discovery channel years ago. One of my
friends insisted that I watch Crash. I'm still pissed at him for
making me sit through that thing. The movie points out that
people are racist and we're supposed to praise it. I don't get it.

Oh SHIT! I missed "March of the Penguins" on that list. One of the best movies I've seen in awhile actually. I mean it was a long National Geopgraphic special, but it was good.

Let that one win a bunch of Oscars too. Good flick.

I haven't seen ANY of them. Though I will see Howl's Moving Castle and Street Fight very soon. And I still really want to see A History of Violence. That's about it.

The Enron movie gets nominated right when the bigwigs go to trial. Great timing.

Lets hope it sweeps!!!!!!!

Really, I know better than that, but it was a great movie.

Another batch of Hollywood crap that will be forgotten before the 15 hour Oscar telecast is even over. And Jon Stewart is hosting the Oscars because why? I wonder if he will make fun of Bush? He's such an insightful rascal, he's not just funny, but he teaches us through his gentle humor.

The only movie that I saw in that entire list is "Murderball".

The Oscars suck. But that doesn't mean I won't participate in a Fantasy Oscar Picks League!

quote:Another batch of Hollywood crap that will be forgotten before the 15 hour Oscar telecast is even over.

This is the first year where I've actually seen most of the movies. I managed to see all the best picture noms except Brokeback, every film nominated in the screenplay categories except The Squid & the Whale. I'd say it was a pretty good year. Come on, people are raving about a non-Michael Moore documentary.
