I'm writing this in hopes to get some information about playing poker online for REAL money. I see all the commercials and hear the radio spots but would much rather hear from actual people and get some reviews.

The most important questions I have are the following:

1.) Which Poker/Casino web site is the most reputable?

2.) How do I transfer the web site money in order to play?

3.) How do I "cash in" my own money (if I decide not to play after the transfer, partial winnings or everything in my casino "bank".

4.) Are games such as Texas Hold'em played entirely with a table of real people? Are some computer players? Are ALL computer players?

I'd appreciate any recommendations, I've been meaning to check this out for a while now.

In all seriousness, don't. This shit can be really addictive and I'm sure that you can find better ways to waste your money. If you feel the need to gamble, then travel to AC or CT to one of the casinos.

It's like having your crack dealer never leaving your living room.

I second Tall James. Don't let those fun and wild games you see on t.v. sway you.

Nevermind the lecture. I've called some friends, did a bit of research and am going to try PartyPoker.Net.

The most important questions I have are the following:

1.) Which Poker/Casino web site is the most reputable?....Most are secure sites (https)

2.) How do I transfer the web site money in order to play?.....I go through neteller.com. Transfers take place to and from your account pretty quickly.

3.) How do I "cash in" my own money (if I decide not to play after the transfer, partial winnings or everything in my casino "bank"..............Also done through neteller. You do have to give your banking info but it takes place in 2-3 bus. days. There is a fee involved with the transfer to your account but not from the website back to your bank account.

4.) Are games such as Texas Hold'em played entirely with a table of real people? Are some computer players? Are ALL computer players?.......There is always speculation that you may be playing against 'bots' but I have yet to hear of/see any indication of this occuring.

happy gaming.

About an hour ago I received the return calls I been waiting for and heard the same news from them, thanks for the heads up regardless. PartyPoker seems to be a joke.

A few people I trust sent me to BoDog.com and I am thrilled. Everything I ever wanted in such a website. No more dealing with bookies and the office closing at whatever time. I like to gamble on a variety of things from time to time and this site came highly recommended from players in the know.

I really just wanted to play a few on-line hands of Hold'em every now and again and ran into something that condenses all my gambling needs into one.
