I think ALL SABBATH with OZZY goes without saying. As does Zepplin. But I'll go a little more obscure:

"CURSE THE GODS" by DESTRUCTION

Damn, I thought picking one punk song was hard. One metal song is impossible. As much as I'd like to go with something obscure, I can't in good conscience leave out Sabbath, Maiden or Priest.

Okay, I guess I'll go with the original kings:

"Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" by you know who.

Back in the 70's, I used to travel with my friends to see Sabbath. We would drive from NYC to Philly to D.C. to Baltimore and back up to Boston. It was almost like being in a cult. One of the most underrated LP's was "Technical Ecstasy". I think it was their last great album. Oh and Jafter, ACDC was my second fave, followed by Deep Purple and Rush.

Ace of Spades -- Motorhead, although I dunno if anything was heavier than Sabbath. Iron Man, Black Sabbath, War Pigs, Snowblind, SuperCzar, Lord of this world, Symptoms of the Universe etc...

I always thought the song Black Sabbath, on the album Black Sabbath by Black Sabbath was one of the best metal songs. As far as Alice Cooper, Halo of Flies off the Killer album is a great song.
