With the success of "Ray" and "Walk the Line", there are, course, more music biography movies in the work. A few were listed in the latest issue of Mojo that caught my eye:

1. Elijah Wood as Iggy Pop
Written and directed by film-maker Nick Gomez (OZ, The Sopranos), The Passenger will focus on Iggy's tempestuous phase fronting The Stooges. "You could day it's my musical debut," reckons Wood. "The script is wonderful, but thn the reality came that I'd have to portray him, which was fightening." And may involve nudity.

2. Mike Myers as Keith Moon
Roger Daltrey has wanted to make a definitive Keith Moon bio-pic for the last decade: late last year'60s minded Angliophile Mike Myers was announced as taking the lead role.

Ugh...

Clay Aiken has landed the plum role in the soon to be lensed Wilson Pickett bio-pic. Mr. Pickett, having yet to be buried, was unable to roll over in his grave.

He could pull off the look, but the drumming and facial ticks and voice, thats a lot to ask.

Myers is quite a bit older than Moon when he died. Quite a bit chubbier too.
Then they could get Dana Carvey to do the actual drumming bits...and at the same time make wayne's world 3
