Despise GW Bush?  Cant Stand Bill or Hilary Clinton? Vent here on which politician(s) past or present that you really hateFor me its Ted Kennedy. Hes old, bloated and he is one of the reasons why we need term limits in the Senate. He continues to make an ass of himself time and time again. I remember when there were hearings for Alberto Gonzales for Atty Gen, he actually grilled Gonzales about water torture. Kennedy is the last person who should ask about water torture after Chappaquidick.He is writing a childrens book and in it his dog is ironically named Splash

This asshole ran one hell of a dirty campaign in VA last year. <img height="240" src="http://static7.userland.com/ulvs1-b/images/choicesofdemocracy/kilgore.jpg" width="327" border="0" />Not only did he lie constantly, but he refused to even entertain the idea, of debating the Independent (former Republican) candidate Russ Potts. He and his party acted like immature little babies, because they couldn't handle Potts' (a man I happen to know is a good person) decision to stand for what he felt was right.Fortunately, his dirty tactics didn't pay off, and he lost (to Tim Kaine... the first person I was able to vote for after getting my voting rights restored).

Perhaps surprisingly, I didn't start out a hater.  In 2000 I voted for Gore, not out of any great regard for him or blind partisianship, but I thought he was less likely to fuck up the great trajectory that Clinton let Robert Rubin guide the economy onto in the '90's. I though W was a bit of a lightweight but conceded that the 2000 election was a tie and the Republicans just fought harder for the rebound.  OK.  Now for the hating part.  1st thing out of the box he scoops up the surplus that could/should have been paying  down the national debt as a fiscally smart move for EVERYBODY, rich and poor alike, and hands it to his Rangers and Pioneers as a thank you for all the campaign contributions.  He compounds this by approving the fastest increases in federal gov't. spending since WW2 (and maybe ever).  Why should you care?  If you plan to be alive in America in 20 years, I believe the economy you'll be living with will look a lot more like Argentina's and a lot less like the growing, opportunity providing one our parents grew up in thanks to his (and this Congress's)borrow and spend policies.Similarly, I believe his decision to invade Iraq instead of  rooting out the Islamist fascists that really are trying to kill us will go down as an empire-ending (ours) decision in that it frittered away the one of the biggest relative advantages any society has ever had.  By falling for the neo-con rationales that pimp slapping Sadaam would transform the region into Scandinavia, he was guilty of the same kind of wooly minded thinking that the old school conservatives (eg. Bill Buckley) used to (properly) beat up liberals for - that with good intentions, throwing resources (in this case money and, more importantly, American lives) at a problem will make it go away.  Now our army has been significantly diminished and we haven't really done anything about our two most immediate pressing problems - nuclear proliferation to outlaw states like Iran and N. Korea and Islamist nutcases still walking the Earth.What seals the deal, the blowtorch applied to the creme brulee of my hatred, is not that he is doing this as a lightweight, but that he is doing it as an ambitious lightweight, who has a self-regard that is unencumbered by a career that can be characterized most charitably as constantly failing upwards.  He is a man who has never studied history but is determined to make history.  And that seems like a dangerous combination to me.

Yeah, I agree with Recyclerz said. Santorum, while he holds views and says things that I find revolting, he isn't my Senator so he doesn't directly affect me, and he holds equal amount of blame for anything bad the Senate did as any other Senator. So my hatred for him outweighs the effects he's had on me.Bush, on the other hand, deserves every single bit of contempt I have for him.

Having done Congressional Liaison work for so long, I've compiled a list too lengthy to list here. But to name one, I'll go with my former Rep. from CT, Rosa DeLauro. <img height="216" src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/b/ba/Rosa_de_lauro.jpg" width="175" border="0" />I especially like how she always refers to the Italian-American neighborhood in our district where she grew up, yet she seems to forgetting the much larger black and latino ghettos that surround it. If a Republican said that, they'd be chastized. Oh well, she's from the party that cares more about the poor so I guess that makes it OK.
