So they called me for a Radio Survey.....

<p>Not sure of the organization's name, but some survey company called me tonight with a short survey on my radio&nbsp;listening habits in the NYC area.&nbsp; They asked which I most often listened to, and I said (truthfully) &quot;XM Radio&quot;.</p><p>The survey monkey then asked me:&nbsp; &quot;OK, which frequency is that?&quot;</p><p>(sigh)</p><p>&quot;Satellite Radio&quot; I told her, then was able to answer her next question regarding terrestrial radio listening habits with a solid &quot;never&quot;.</p><p>Didn't seem to be much point in continuing the interview then, so with a twinge of &quot;darn it&quot;, she politely asked her remaining questions quickly and hung up.&nbsp; </p><p>That felt good......</p>

<p>Nice.&nbsp; Stick it to those fucks.&nbsp; Let them know that regular radio is a fucking joke and it's driving people to seek other avenues of entertainment.</p>

Yep.&nbsp; My thoughts exactly.&nbsp; It's sort of&nbsp;neat now that I have been paying attention to radio goings-on and realize why they have to do these surveys--as opposed to the average Joe Ham-and-Egger who would shrug off something like this as a nuisance.&nbsp;&nbsp;FM radio is grabbing at straws that aren't there and I will be glad to see it used for some other purpose entirely.&nbsp; I do, however, like AM radio.&nbsp; There's something strangely comforting to me about its sound and content, at least&nbsp;on the ENglish speaking stations.&nbsp; Maybe because I don't expect any more than I get there.

<p>IT is funny that we all pay attention to radio a little more than the average fan.&nbsp; Ron and Fez and O&amp;A bring their fans into the show like no other in my opinion.</p><p>If someone called me and asked my opinion on TV shows I'd have to politely tell them I haven't watched TV for longer than a half hout TOPS in like a year or two.&nbsp; If a person asking about movies called I'd have to politely tell them the last movie I saw the The Corpse Bride and that was months ago.&nbsp; </p><p>Radio is fresh everyday.&nbsp; I love it.</p>

Oh don't worry Shelle.&nbsp; Regular radio isn't going anywhere just yet.&nbsp; I do think with more and more people going to a satellite company the industry will be forced to change to keep up, but you will probably have all the same stations to apply to when you're ready to.
