Tough to pick one, but I always loved "Sonic Reducer" by The Dead Boys.
Damn near impossible to pick just one, but I guess I'll go with "Holidays In The Sun" by the Sex Pistols.

Most of my favorites were already posted, but here are a few more of mine. I'll think of more as time goes on. Dead Kennedy's, Holiday in Cambodia. Bush Tetras, Too Many Creeps. Patti Smith, Free Money.
The only time I have a drinking problem is when I don't have a drink
Most of mine are up there too, didn't see Blank Generation by the Voidoids though. Also, anything from The Clash. Henry Rollins had a great quote about them, he said "The Clash were the band that U2 wishes they were"

Tell me the story about Sid Ralphy!
By the way, I remember when the Fire Department showed up and almost cleared the place due to overcrowding. As for knowing you, I was at all of the venues: The old Ritz, Irving Plaza, Max's, even the Central Park/Pier concerts.

do you remember Blondie's "coming out" concert at the Palladium?heart of glass just broke out.a week or two before i went to max's to see sid kick off his solo career.actually saw him get out of the taxi with nancy.the next week he killed her.spent some time in jail until his mummy bailed him out.that's when i saw him.at the blondie show(alot of greats were there richard hell, etc.)i walked out to the lobby for a breather.there he was.standing in the lobby oblivious to his surroundings.AND NOBODY WAS TALKING TO HIM!i just stood in front of him staring(shocked)while a crowd started to gather.i don't remember the coversation, but there wasn't much to it.a few days he offed himself.
have you ever been to Hurrah's?

Very sad to hear the news of Joe Strummer's passing. Even though the Clash were no longer together, their music is some of (if not the)most important of the Punk movement. Joe was also and outspoken and effective advocate of the movement's politics long after the Clash disbanded. He will be sorely missed. <P>

Hmm, lots to choose from, though I'm not sure if some of the ones I'm thinking of would actually qualify as punk and not post punk.
While I love just about all the punk/post punk they play on Fred, I'll have to say the Jam The Modern World or In the City would be two that I particularly like.

ps- one of the guys from electric eels was writing a book about the band, john morton maybe? either way, there were some excerpts on the web that I can't seem to find now, but it was pretty funny shit. One story revolved around a couple of them going into a liquor store with some tranny friends who got into a fist fight as a distraction for the rest of them to steal booze.

they where amazing. jerry cut open his forehead with a broken beer bottle.
by the end of the set it looked like a terry funk/sabu barbed wire death match.
i've been a huge fan ever since.

Hmmmm, fave old school punk song?
If I had to choose one it would probably be "Search and Destroy" by the Stooges, though I'm also partial to "Raw Power" and "I Got A Right."
If you wanna go WAY old school, the first one to come to mind is "Dirty Water" by the Standells...

They are doing a sort of reunite tour. They are being pressured from various entities to do so.

Aren't they down a bass player? Oh well, that isn't going to stop the faces either (now a stripper girlfriend might, but not Ronnie Lane.)

Dan Stevens from the Low Budgets will be on bass, as in 2004.

The Dave Blood Memorial shows were the finest musical experiance of my life. My brother went to their last show when I was in 5th grade, and I had been waiting for some kind of a reunion since then.
I'm psyched for these two Philly shows, and if I hadn't managed to see them a few years ago I'd be going to Texas.
My favorite band EVER.
Whats the story on them being pressured?
Also, the total irony is that the 25th and 26th are games 3 and 4 of the World Series.

Any Rocket From The Crypt (http://www.rftc.com/) fans here? Their album Scream Dracula, Scream is still played by me and rocks out.
They kicked ass. If you had a Rocket tattoo or something similar you would get in free to their shows.

I've always preferred Rocket From the Tombs - in fact, this song was the first time I've actually heard RFTC.
