I voted none of the above. If I had to choose from the group it would be Bruno simply because he held the WWWF title for like 7 years straight,It like seeing a picther win his 300th game, It will never happen again in this life time.

I think Austin is tops.  He had more or less the chrasmia and drawing power of Hogan, and had a workrate in the vicinity of Flair.  Props to all those guys who built the business, but if we are building the prototype, I think the impact of Austin with his actual ability to wrestle noses him in front of Flair.

Wooooooooooo!!!!!The Nature Boy Ric Flair. During his prime in the 80's when he was NWA world champ he would wrestle in the NWA regional territories like Georgia and Florida during the day, then wrestle at night sometimes for an hour and there were times when he would have 90 minute draws vs barry wyndham.  The Ric Flair want to remember had great mike skills, his promos were always fun to watch and his in ring talent was amazing <img title="flair" height="373" alt="flair" src="http://www.mainevent.iwarp.com/images/flair_nwa_promo_photo_bw.jpg" width="285" border="0" />

Even though wrestling is fake wrestler are athletes as well. Holding the belt for a long period of time is a huge accomplishmment many wrestlers dream of. Think of RVD's TV title run in ECW, it was a big deal that rvd held the belt for like 22 months. When every wrestler was leaving ECW, RVD was the man. Had RVD remain healthy/ECW didnt go out of business I bet they would give RVD the ECW title and let him carry that belt for however long RVD wanted to and it would sell. When WWE was doing the invasion angle RVD was more popular then anybody at the time, now that I think about it, RVD is the greatest wrestler of all time.

Yes, they are athletes, but I still think your analogy is off because if you hold a belt for a long time that isn't necessarily because of your athletic skill, unlike a pitcher who holds a record for a long time.   In wrestling, a titleholder holds a belt for a multitude of reasons, part of which is the wrestler's abilities, but also due to politics, the marketplace, other wrestlers who can challenge, etc.
