Enjoyed Dave holding his own in there today - loved the retrospect of Soundboard Fez's work (including both brand new stuff, and some vintage old stuff - "It's so tiny!") - and it middle of it all, MOJO PIN gets a mention.

East Side Dave you killed.To show how small the RFdotNet family can get, I never met ESD before the XM parties, but we both worked at the station mentioned, WRAT, doing the same overnights, but this was years ago when I was a big fatty bozehound, and DJ-ing at another gig took preference, so I didn't stay too long.But a fun gig, the first time I used a computerized system for spots instead of carts.Good times.

I think Jerry dropped this in the wrong thread...Hi East Side Dave.Were you able to catch the emails I was sending to the show when you were ON tues.?I was goofing on you and they might have nudged you to get a laugh.I enjoyed your stories and candor.The girlfriend thing was best.But in NYC you have no problem meeting people.Having your own radio show is a dream for most of us.Fortunately I got it out of my system,somewhat,as far as being ON-AIR talent. Now,I want to be the next Craig Coleman.

The actual context was a little odd - Ron used the name "Mojo Pin" as an example of someone posting on the internet. Just listening to yesterday's show now, and I wanted to add a quick comment on whether Beatles were a rock band or not.  If anyone reads crime procedural novels, the most recent entry in the Prey series by John Sanford had the lead character writing a list of the top 100 rock songs for inclusion on his iPod.  He refused to put the Beatles on his list saying they were pop.  His definition of whether a song was a pop song was whether you tapped your foot to it.   If you liked the Beatles, you're a foot tapper, and if you liked the Rolling Stones, you like rock. <img src="http://home.nyc.rr.com/bkemper/ambros~1.jpg" border="0" />

That's what I get for leaving my desk for a couple of minutes to grab some food.          How did they mention it? I know they talked about it in general yesterday with Mikey D.    Mikeyboy came in and Ron said he heard there was some Earl hate threads on ronfez.net, Mikey explained it was really just one thread that got to be like 30 pages long, and it was all one guy.  Then he made some other threads and got banned. <blockquote />

Well done.BTW; Pinfield is literally a walking encyclopedia of music, across genres, across times, from spinning at the Melody in New Brunswick to WRSU to MTVs 120 minutes his bazillion other projects, the guy knows all the groups, has met most of them, and has a savant recall of stuff that's frightening.
