It's gonna be BAM, I crush his little skull and I sit down and smoke a cigar for another 55 seconds. The next kid comes in, BAM I put my cigar out on him. I laugh and point at the other kids "Who's next chubby?"

How can you not pull for them to win it all?

Storybook ending to a year if it happens. Could end up being the greatest NFL story of all time.

Man, Tony Dungy is one of the guys I respect most in the NFL. He was an awesome defensive coordinator, should have had a head coaching job long before he actually got one. Skin color was probably a factor. And once he got a job he did nothing but win, and still got fired from Tampa. Luckily for him he landed in probably a perfect place. I never really liked the Colts but I'll be rooting for them this year.
Thats what I meant. First - of course he would trade the super bowl win for his son. no brainer. I think it would be a storybook ending and make a tragic story a little less tragic. coach loses son - goes on to super bowl and win - despite the situation. Not ONLY was he the first black coach but the man lost his son a few weeks prior.

Sad sad story man.

gotcha

but imagine if they won last week and were still undefeated and he could possibly miss this game due to the death of his son, would people still want him to be there to go for the undefeated season???

"Based on evidence at the scene, indications are that this death appears to be a suicide,"

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2268593

That's tragic. I feel terrible for the family.

I know its a natural first reaction (for all of us that dont know
him personally) to wonder about what this means to the Colts. But if I
were him and this happened, the last thing on earth I would care about
is winning a stupid game. Or anything else for that matter, except
trying to come to some kind of peace with this for me and my family.

Football
may be an escape for him, because things like this can seem extremely
senseless. Or he may not want to coach again this season. Whatever he
wants, I have no problem with it, and neither should the most die hard
Colt fan.

A suicide? wow. Even more heartbreaking. Lets hope that wasn't the case. Even more tragic, and Im not sure how I feel about it - but the news is dragging out an old commercial of Tony's son talking about how important having a father is. the message was "make time for your children" -

If I were Tony, I'd be done for the year. But for some people getting back to work is the best way to deal. Like Ron was saying on Wed show - LIFE MOVES ON.

i have always heard it is so hard to be a family member of a head coach in the NFL. they are basically second to the game.

Yah this one blind-sided me today. I feel for Tony D, but nothing, I mean nothing will ever get me to pull for a Manning to win a big game, let alone a Super Bowl. As soon as Manning isn't on his team, then fine. But until then, fuck both Mannings and their marble mouthed father.
