Dreamcast vs. PS2 vs. XBox

I bought a Dreamcast for three reasons...

1) It was cheap with decent games.

2) Fire Pro Wrestling D.

3) The software has... erm... unique qualities.

I'm debating getting a PS2 or an XBox if PS2 drops it's prices to keep competitve when Gamecube and XbOx are released. I want to have the DVD capabilities, and I really want to try out MGS 2.

I'm also a madden geek, and I'd love to try the nextgen of Madden (even though NFL2k2 rocks my world)

Anyone ever play Fire Pro Wrestling D here?

i cant belive people even want x-box nitendo has a great varity of chaters witch will be great with new graphics and playstaion has some great game traditon to like Finalfantasy what does x-box have to offer i just dont see it

I've had a history of buying shitty systems, Game Gear, Sega CD, 32X, then I got Nintendo 64 and I must say that also sucked!

This time I got Playstation 2 and must say it's awesome. I don't trust Nintendo to put out a good platform and the XBox, well I just don't think it will last.

If you haven't... you'll rethink Dreamcast.

DC is a good system that had bad PR. It's very economical, especially considering the software's... erm... qualities. :)

SEGA is the worst company EVER they create game systems then nobody ever makes games for them. I admit that SEGA has always made the best sports games but that's IT. SEGA ends up making all there games for there systems and eventually stops. EX: SEGA Saturn, SEGA CD, SEGA Genesis, SEGA Game Gear...do I need to go on?

One thing that's great about SEGA not making anymore platforms is that their games will be on PS2, X-Box and Gamecube.

Dreamcast is kind of moot as already they're ceasing production of the system.

I'd say Playstation 2, because it already has a HUGE selection of games available (downwards compatibility), and it's got some great stuff coming out soon. X-BOX will probably vanish within a year, and Gamecube will probably sell real well initially, then it'll fall under the same fate as N64 in that it just doesn't have any good games to sustain interest.

PS2 doesn't even have anti-aliasing. The graphics aren't better than DC, and PS2 doesn't have a killer app yet. MGS2 and FFX will be the first games that'll make money on the system

GO neo, post #1, well anyway I think Dreamcast had great potencial, but couldn't make it in the long run. Look at it, you had a built in modem, the VMU's, the DCX, and a variety of really good games. The PS2 tore it up though, but i really like PS. And Xbox is goina su-huh-uck, it already did bad at the E3 expo. Well i say stick with ps2 and get Metal Gear 2, and Silent hill 2, GREAT GAMES!!! Also the price for ps2 is dropping because of the releases of Xbox and Gamcube.

problem with nintendo is that none of there games come out on time everything is always pushed back a couple of months then pushed back again, and alot of there games focus on little kids.
