I dont know about anyone else here, but it seems to me that this "Pest Radio" that has become the O&A Show sucks Its made them lazy and really taken away from the show  Plus I'd say chances are that the show blows up because of one of these tools Thats just my 2 cents

I agree, although I don't think it's ruining the show. I think they are fucking morons for putting their careers in the hands of these half-retards, but O&A do plenty of good radio.

The AOTM on Channel 7 (ABC where Good Morning America is shown, and now heard on XM) almost got O&A fired. I guess Stern's Rally on Friday was just too good to pass up in favor of common sense.

Are The Pests Ruining Opie And Anthony? Yes. I
would suggest that O and A attempt to do just one show with just the
two of them, without anyone else coming into the studio, and only
taking phone calls.  The fact that they can no longer do tat and
make it funny is a prime example of how the show has been ruined,
relying on crutches such as crazy fans doing stupid shit.

I'm new to O&A, I first heard them the week Ron & Fez joined XM (my reason for becoming a subscriber). At first I was entertained, but then I noticed the pests calling in and planning things. It seemed childish.
What bugs me is the constant talk of Stern. Sure he's in the news a lot, but most people don't subscribe to both XM and Sirius (I do), so it's not really a competition amongst morning jocks to keep listeners from changing stations to hear what the other guy is saying. I understand their hostility towards the guy for things he's done to them, but they're only giving him more attention by talking about him each morning. I stopped listening, now my XM doesn't come on until 11am.

 I'll throw my 2 cents on top of yours. The show I once loved has pretty much turned to shit because of crutches like the pests. Thank God for Ron and Fez! They hit the ground running from Day 1 of XM and have made me laugh every day I listen.

I liked O&A before they got booted of off WNEW, but everything I've heard on XM chokes some massive hog, and mainly due to the "Pests."  They totally derail the show, do the same shit over and over again, and are just generally dull.  Though as it's already been brought here, O&A seem to have no problem talking the same topics or doing the same bits over and over and over and OVER again, so the Pests are just par for the sadly awful course.

The obsessiveness with Howard is just plain embarrassing.  I am
surprised they don't realize their envy and anger of him is just too
apparent for their own good.  If it has subsided then great, I am
referring to the first 6 months before I tapped out. 
 Before my current extended vacation I remember them
spending an indecent amount of time with "Ramone" bits sent in from
listeners.  Now I'm not a fan of the originals from FMSteve
(although I'm a big fan of his other contributions and production) and
was kinda insulted I was paying for this kind of a product.

I started trying to listen once I got it for free on
Direct TV. Three observations. They aren't cut out for morning radio. I
don't think they realized how hard it would be in the AM. The show
really ran of Ant's energy and he has none in the AM. They are lazy.
Say whay you want, they had all the time in the world to plan and get a
show together with some new and ground breaking ideas. They came up
with "the pests". They curse Waay too much. Just like in real life,
just because you CAN curse, it doesn't mean you should every other
word. It just shows a general lack of intelligence. R and F and O and A
should flip timeslots.

it's a criticism thread.  no one hear hates O and A.  And another thing, just because someone suggests that an aspect of the show sucks, doesn't mean we think the entire show and the people behind it suck.  O and A don't seem to understand that;  Anthony would rather ban people.

Opie and Anthony do not need these idiots. They have made a name for
themselves, so they don't need the "pests" fighting others for them. No
one will touch O&A, and they cannot let these small market radio
shows get to them. These so called Generals need to get out more and do
something productive with their free time.

This is like when Stern was relying on listeners calling into radio or TV shows and screaming "BABABOOEY!!!"  Captain Jenks was a "pest".  It wasn't funny then either.  All of those prank callers were heavily featured on Stern's self-proclaimed "ten years of sub-par radio".   Why follow suit?I hope O&A move away from them like they were radioactive.  Because, like radiation, the longer you are exposed to it the quicker you'll die.

I have some suggestions for the show. There is a lot of problems with the show already. Here we go: - Stop with the pest stuff. It is lame and wasn't ever funny. It just gives attention whores some attention.- Stop talking about message boards obsessively. And if someone bashes you on wackbag then dont' metnion it on the show. Its just a fourm.- And why the hell do they replay stuff 1 or 3 times? If the new listeners are interested in the show then they will go to the boards and cetch up on it. You dont' have to say "for the new listeners'> -The stern talk use to be interesting but now it is every day. Like that is the new format of the show. Talk about stern at 10:30 or something. I remember at the begining of when they went to XM, Opie would brag that Howard could never get under their skin. THen Howard mentioned O&A slightly a week ago and Opie had a temper trantrum live on the air. -Pest suck.. again-More impressions, bits, etc.. Even if it means longer commercial breaks (Wifflebatlube said on WackBag that he didn't do impressions because the breaks were too short or something).-Whats with all this cursing. Every other word from Anthony's mouth is the F word. Mya be if there was more of a variety of words? - The fake laughign is horrible. They make fun of other shows for doing that. Most people already know anthony's real laugh.

I think the Pest stuff is still funny.  As long as they keep it legal I don't mind it.As for the Stern talk, I love every second of it.  Fuck Stern.  Point out his hypocricy and self delusion at every turn.

Did anyone else hear Opie say that they put 94.1 WYSP on
the map? It was when he was talking about Kid Chris. He knew it was
such a dumb statement he had to retract it 2 seconds later. YSP had
been #1 in Philly for 10 years before O and A even had a show. What a
dick.

My main problem with Opie is that he just oversells the show.  It's getting ridiculous.  The homeless shopping spree after callers made it sound like it was the best radio ever.  "I almost crashed my car I was laughing so hard"  Did you?  Really?

hey whats up i agree , i hate the opie and anthoyn show mainly cuz of the pests its so annoying, how they listen to everything they say, and do everything they tell them to do, it gets on my nerves were i havent listend to a full oNa show in 2 months , ron and fez i still love cuz its a good radio show, and i tell you somethign else, stern isnt bad on sirius so far
