My sister in law's mom is legally blind and has been her entire
life.  Its really interesting to see how this woman lives her life
and does it in spite of this disability.  Her youngest son told
her that he had no idea she was blind til he was about 8 years old or
so.  I couldn't imagine not being able to see.  I
take for granted being able to see clearly ((albeit with the aid of
contacts or glasses)).As for hearing loss, I'd like to think I
could function better, but I really don't know.  I guess I'd
rather be deaf than blind.

see your sister in law's mom has been blind her whole life she doesnt know what she is missing and never had to go from one day being able to see for her whole entire life up to that point and having to adjust to an entire new life.it sucks either way but i think having the ability at one time and then losing it has got to be worse

between being blind and not seeing something ((or someone)) that's been
right in front of you for years :o)
