Yes. Right. Cena was main eventing PPVs while getting booed out of the building while the wrestlers people paid to see were stuck either in the match before it or the opening match of the show. Nobody gives a fuck about this guy anymore.

Scrap the US title, come up with a new belt, the social media belt or whatever...essentially have the title holder open the PPV preshows, integrate the voting of who his opponent will be on the app they are always hyping, and make it a shoot. Whoever wins gets the match. You could do it on RAW and or SD as well. Itd be a pretty original idea.

Yeah, that and how technically the WHC isn't the WCW/NWA Belt held by Flair, Race etc. It's "storied history" dates back to Bischoff handing the belt to HHH on a throw away episode of RAW.

The NWA Big gold Belt was unified by Jericho into the Undisputed WWE Championship. That belt went to SD during the brand split and the WHC was given to HHH in Sept of 2002. The glory and history that was the NWA title went to Jericho back then, but it's better story telling to forget that part. The WWE Championship is the greatest wrestling title because it was merged with the NWA/WCW title that night Jericho beat the Rock and SCSA to unify the titles.
