Hall of fame rant:

The WWE Hall of Fame is completely out of wack at this point. Besides the Glaringly obvious omissions from the HOF there are some real lines blurred as to who or what is let in.

Take Edge for example. It's even debatable IMO that he should even go into the HOF let alone immediately after his announced retirement. Can't there be a 5 year after you retire waiting list? (The exception to the rule being Flair only because he should have been retired 10 years prior to his HOF induction.)

Plus, whats a HOF career? Is it decided by Titles? Charisma? Connections with the fans past and present? It can't be titles alone because Jake The Snake should be there but isn't. Warrior is a former Champ and is nowhere in there. Yet Tito Santana is? Mind boggling.

I even forgive and UNDERSTAND the celebrity wing of the HOF, but should there even be a chance that Trump is on TV and Foley isn't? A man who put more $$ in Vince's pocket then Trump ever has?

Just seems like another part of the "E" that is disjointed and without direction. The whole process should be handled by a board that DOESN'T HAVE A MCMAHON IN SIGHT.

It was more than obvious that Main Event wasn't supposed to end in a count out.. That had "Just end it and let's get the fuck out of here" feel to it.

Vince wanted nothing to do with that crowd.. Held back HHH and send Ryback out there to destroy Cena so the fans didn't riot over the bullshit ending.

They really couldve made both those guys. Its too bad because I like Henry as a monster.

When a guy that size is in your face, as a good guy youve got to show that you consider him a real threat. Same with Ryback. While his "heel turn" line made me laugh, once the confrontation took place Cena shouldve been all business.

The biggest difference with Fandango Vs others who got the shitty Vince gimmicks in the past. Johnny Curtis is completely and utterly owning the gimmick and character. It's absolutely the shittiest gimmick Vince has come up with in ages (and about 5 years past pop culture relevance) But Johhny has fully embraced himself to become this fictional Fandango character to the point you forget it's just some muscle head jock playing the part and think this goofable is for real like this.

I think this is the only reason the gimmick hasn't fallen face first yet and sort of has a cult like "love to hate it" cult following. The gimmick itself should have crashed harder than Tensai

Ive said it 100 times. I like Cena as a wrestler. Hes big, hes naturally strong as fuck, and he can wrestle. He also has the ability to cut a great promo. My problem is his gimmick. Its fucking stupid. Its cheesy and corny wrapped together with unbeatable. Hes basically Clark Kent and Superman wrapped into one. Theres no realism with his character. They pretty much go out of their way do de-humanise him. No matter what happens he never seems genuinely pissed off, and to me thats the kiss of death for any wrestler. Even Hogan in his heyday would seem legitimately mad when cutting a promo.

Look at Stone Cold. He was a wrecking machine. He would beat the shit out of everyone. But guess what? Even during his biggest run the heels would get the better of him sometimes. He didnt just overcome the odds every single time. The Rock threw him off a bridge. Vince McMahon eliminated him from the Royal Rumble. Shane broke a shovel over his head and threw him in a grave. It made him look like a normal person. He would get pissed off. He wouldnt smile and crack cornball jokes when someone came in the ring, got in his face and challenged him like Mark Henry did Monday.

Its funny, when Cena first did the Dr. of Thuganomic gimmick I thought he was dead in the water. But his promos were GREAT. His raps were good. They didnt sound like some white kid writing lines 2 by 2 that would rhyme. He incorporated the gimmick with his moveset and even his belt. Thats what got him over so huge. Now hes a joke.

I watched the nearly three hour Stone Cold doc on Netflix last night, which was good....a bit dragged out in parts, but worth the watch. Anyway, Chris Jericho is featured quite a bit talking about Stone Cold and he said something that made total sense. It was to the effect of, if you really want to get over with the crowd, even as a good guy, the ones that really stick in ppls minds and the ones that really stick around, are the wrestlers that are kind of assholes. Not that they are assholes to ppl backstage, but when they're in the ring, or cutting promos, if their character is somewhat of an asshole, people really respond to that. Cena is the complete opposite of even coming close to ever being an asshole and I think ppl would root for him more if he became kind of a dick to people while still being a good guy.
