So basically, the WWE sets up a match with the guy, double crosses him, and hes the one thats wrong for being pissed?
This isnt about being "bigger then the E" the bottom line is, guys like Cena, Orton, Kofi Kingston if not in wrestling are nothing without the WWE. Their names are pretty much worthless to anyone but Indy feds and maybe TNA. Lesnar has made a global name for himself, like it or not. Just like The Rock and Hogan they are worth a ton with or without the WWE. So when wrestling they have to protect their outside interests.
They cant just let Vince McMahon use them however he wants. It doesnt work that way. What if Vince brought him in and just had him lose squash matches every week to guys like Kofi Kingston, Santino and Zack Ryder? That would kill their name financially. So they come up with scenarios to both get over the other superstars like Cena, while still making Brock look strong....and then they double cross him. Sorry but hes right. You make a deal witgh someone, you dont swerve them and make them look weak. How the fuck is he supposed to trust anything the WWE plans for him again?

Lesnar rampaging through the roster for the summer would have been awesome... Like a summer of Brock or whatever... Have him beat Cena last Sunday, injure him... Cena goes away for a while to "heal"... He comes back just when Brock has destroyed everybody, and beats him at Summerslam or Survivor Series or whatever... Something like that would have made the usually boring ass summer a interesting one. Now what? Still pushing Cena as Hogan 2.0 or two-point-blow... Same boring ass shit.

Exactly. It wouldve went perfectly with their anti-bullying campaign. He beats Cena at Extreme Rules, Cena gets stretchered out. Hes gone. HHH comes out to admonish Brock for costing the WWE their main guy...and he gets fucked up. Then, instead of having him face HHH, you have HHH play the REAL role of a boss, and set up matches with guys to take Brock out.
Start with his boy Orton, that would be Brocks June feud. The whole time throughout shows you just have Brock bullying the smaller talents. Nothing too vicious, just pushing around guys like Santino or Ryder. Even Josh Matthews. After Brock destroys Orton you have HHH bring out Big Sghow. Thats would be his July feud. You bring up their past for the thousands of kids that dont know their was wrestling before Cena. You show the match where Brock superplexed Show and the entire ring collapsed. Just awesome TV. Then you have Brock beat his as at that PPV. After that you see HHH trying to recruit someone else, and just keep showing wrestlers turning him down. Kingston, R-Truth, The Miz, even Kane. Just when it looks like the whole roster is scared and nobody wants any part of Brock you have him crowing in the ring and you hit Cenas music.
It would be the biggest pop hes gotten in 4 years. And people would actually cheer him again. Then you put over Cena at Summerslam. Make it look like he took out the big bad bully. And you move them both onto feuds with somebody else.

I still can't understand why Cena won at Extreme Rules. It makes absolutely zero sense and they're pretty much treating it as if he lost.

Because you cant have your top guy, or at least who you view as your top guy regardless of who's wearing the strap, lose the "biggest match of all time" and follow that up with a loss to Brock who ALSO hasnt had a match in 8 years. The fans booing him have been bad enough couple that with back to back losses, it kills his credibility (as far as credibility in fake fighting goes)

This is gonna sound like im shitting on him, and i realize that, but without WWE, where would he be? If you watched him in UFC you know he cant actually fight. So MMA is out. Couldn't cut it in NFL, Hes got serious health issues. He should be happy Vince loves him. Because without him he'd be home listening to Sable out in the backwoods of Minnesota.

When he first came to the WWE I would agree with you. He was just a 2 time NCAA champ which gave him about 2 options, go to the WWE or coach college wrestling.
But he took what WWE gave him, and made so much more out of it. Yea he didnt make the Vikings, but for a guy that didnt even play college ball, he did really well. Then he goes to UFC and draws more then ANY of their fighters. Say what you want, but his fights sold more then any other UFC fighter has. And until some of these guys start getting a personality, more then they ever will.
He doesnt need Vince at all. Hes got plenty of money. Look how much leverage he really had in those contract negotiations. Hes getting $3 million to work 35 dates over the course of a year. He made Vince agree to let him wear his sponsors on his gear. Thats shit Vince NEVER gives in on.
Just like The Rock took the opportunity that Vince gave him, and made alot more out of it. He didnt need the WWE this year, Vince needed him to sell Wrestlemania. Either way, the bottom line is these guys have created their own brand, its fucking unprofessional to come with a plan for a match that makes both guys look good, and then fuck over one of them.

Why? Hes a 13 time champion. Youve made him beat just about everyone thats come down the pike except for The Rock. If he doesnt have credibility by now he will never have it.

Im saying as of right now, hes out of options as far as a career goes. Im not downplaying whats hes done. But realistically where can he turn at this point? Sure hold Vince's feet to the fire and get as much out of him as you can, especially since he has such a hard on for him. Thats just being a good business man. But tearing the locker room apart because you disagree with something is just silly. Maybe he can square off against Layla for the Divas championship.

But thats not whats happening. He didnt tear the locker room apart because he disagreed with something, he tore it apart because he was double crossed. They sat down, and agreed to a match that would put Cena over and make Brock come out looking good, and then they swerved him. To me its no different then what they did to Bret Hart. With these mega main events they put together matches designed for specific reasons that have to be agreed on by everyone. If I was Brock, Id go to Vince and ask him how the fuck hes supposed to trust anything he says from here on out.

It's a work.
-- As we've been reporting here on the site, Brock Lesnar did throw a tantrum backstage after Extreme Rules, f4wonline.com is reporting that it was partially a 'work' on the locker room as a way to convince people that Cena going over was the right decision. Lesnar was upset about the finish, but "some, if not most" of the situation was not entirely legitimate.
WWE tried to have word leak out on Monday that Lesnar had quit the company, likely to get the "dirt sheets" reporting it so people would be surprised when Lesnar showed up on RAW. However, by the time that this was going on, it was already out there that Lesnar was at the arena and going to be at RAW.

I think saying it's a "Partial work" is just covering uP for it leaking out.
If they say it's a work then it's not a problem, and they can pretend all is well.
Why would you "work" the guys in the back? Without a video of it or a mention of this tantrum at RAW what purpose would that work serve?

Sigh. Where to begin? Styckx was right, just a boring ass show. The crowd sucked a dick from start to finish. They anounce Cenas not there? Silence. They may have gotten 150 people trying to start a Cena chant. Heyman comes out? Silence. The only thing they chanted all night was "What?" the true sign of a dipshit audience.
John Laurenaitis said Brock Cena. He actually called him Brock fucking Cena. SMH.
Punks promo ate shit. It was obviously scripted and not even close to being spontaneous. He mentioned John Cena more tonight in 5 minutes then he has the last 4 months. They really dont get it. NOBODY gives a fuck about this PPV main event.
No Santino = :furious:
Eve is annoying. Its not heel heat, its dumb bitch that should just be used for her tits and ass heat.
Tensai is dogshit.
Funkasaurus is dogshit.
WWE still hasnt learned that when trying to make new superstars, making them cartoon characters hasnt worked since 1988.
If I had to pick 1 town to NEVER bring back someone like Paul Heyman in.....it would be Atlanta. Greensboro wouldve been 2nd. I guess they did it because they knew hed get cheered to death up north? But instead of getting boos he just got indifference by a redneck audience, half of which had no idea who he is.

I don't understand ANYTHING they're doing right now
Tensai hasn't been over in any shape or form since returning but cleanly pins the two top guys in the company. That's a huge W-T-F.. And he still gets zero reaction.. Because he's a fat white guy being passed off as a japanese wrestling master who spits green fucking mist.. IN 2012.... This is WCW in the early 90s awful.
Your Champion is going into a PPV with a guy who got over huge after losing at WM and... .. ..... There is no fued, no build up, no mic time between them. No exchanges and brian literally gets thrown in on RAW during the final minutes of the show as an after thought and a jobber entrance. The match was just written on a piece of paper and that's about where that stands.
WWE has officially ruined Brocks return in a more clusterfuck fashion than they did Punks return. Just like Punks return it was ok for a week until Triple H interjected himself and it went into so many different directions in two weeks no one gave a shit anymore.
Every thing WWE has done post WM is everything Punks shoot interview was about. Same exact shit and it's clear Punk doesn't have a lot of pull anymore he's just too over w/ the fans and too little of a main even talent pool at this point for Vince to fuck him in the ass.

Bringing in Heyman is just the latest sign Vince is desperate as shit. Heyman wasn't really on good terms when he was there and furthered poked WWE with sticks after he left. He really never had anything good to say about his experience there. Vince is doing the whole Dixie Carter big surprise/announcement thing just without announcing it before hand.. Like with TNAs big surprises etc they are good for the initial mark out then a week later it's back to facepalming business as usual.

Yes, but I get where he's coming from. Heymans role in Lesnars initial run was something TripleSkeet keeps hammering on about.. He played his role as a manager PERFECT and 1/2 the reason Brock got over in the first place.. It's a concept Vince has completely and utterly forgotten about. He almost does it with Vickie, but let's be honest she's on the Eddie Guerrero died on Vinces watch payment plan and not because he wants a manager. Kudos to her though for running with it and making her own.. She rules. The two just go hand in hand with each other and obvious since Heyman is on TV getting him to show up wouldn't have been a problem.
My guess: Vince scoffed at the idea and initially probably said "Fuck Heyman.. I'm Vince Fucking McMahon I make the stars!"... A few awful promos and not giving a shit crowds later he magically decided maybe he should save face and call Heyman.

What I dont get is they sign tons of old wrestlers to "Legends contracts". The great managers were usually old wrestlers that still wanted to work and could talk. Albano, Blassie, Valiant, Heenan, etc. So they obviously use some of these old timers as agents and matchmakers, why not use some of the others as managers?
Also, what happened to Armando Essssssssttttttrrrrrrada??? I loved that guy.

They just ignore the tag teams anymore. Either that or just throw random guys together like Truth and Kingston. They need to make real tag teams again. Matching outfits, a team name, double team moves, etc. And let the stars grow from that. Maybe when some of the older guys like Big Show and Kane that get TV time EVERY week with NOTHING of interest going with it retire they can start giving them time again.

I can emphasize these points enough:
Have about 5 less PPVs a year
And if you are goin to insist on 37 PPV a year then BUILD A MID CARD AND TAG DIVISION
Get HHH out of every hot storyline going. Don't forget he interjected himself in Punks hot angle last summer.

Agreed!! I'm still amazed that WWE would give that matchup away so soon. I'd figured that type of matchup would be saved for Summerslam or Survivor Series.

It's possible that she was cheating too. Or the relationship was toxic on both sides. Or maybe the chick is nuts.
Someone who is cheating AND wants a divorce realizes the relationship is broken.
Of course... if this turns out that Cena's a Tiger Woods-like guy behind the scenes. Oh boy. You're gonna get your heel turn IN FUCKING SPADES.

Yea, I can see that because they were married before he was anybody. But didnt I read she was getting 70% of his money? How is that fair? 50%? Fine. His kids are both over 18, theres no need for child support, how can they take 70% of what a man makes and just give it to some bitch because they used to be married? Thats ridiculous.

Has Punk main evented one PPV since hes became champion? I cant believe his match with Bryan is going to go on BEFORE Cena / Big Gay Johnny.

What the hell is the point of a "restrictive pre-nup" then
- With the news of John Cena's divorce becoming public last week, there are those who believe it's going to get ugly - and ugly fast. John Cena's wife signed a very restrictive prenuptial agreement back in 2009 and recently turned down a financial settlement offer.
This is just speculation, but don't be shocked to see Cena's ex to "make some noise" (talking to TMZ, writing a tell-all book) in hopes of getting paid off to go away.

If you're a true fan you can't stop completely. I cut back drastically from '05 till early '10 so much so that I didn't know any story lines or a lot of the newer faces. Still I would read the dirt sheets etc and TNA was at least watchable at that time. This time I guess it will be watching ROH on my computer filling the gaps.
Basically back then I was sick of HHH as eternal champion and I wasn't buying Orton and Cenas rise to main event status.

Fans dont care about steroids in wrestling. Why should they? Nobody gives a shit when actors like Ryan Reynolds and Chris Evans juice up for movie roles. Not too much "integrity" to protect in a sport where you can win by hitting your opponent with a chair when the refs not looking.

The whole reason that Vince started calling it "sports entertainment" was to get away from athletic commissions governing things like steroid use, but now everyone is so concerned with how the company looks that they have to pretend they've cracked down on that shit even if wrestling is no different from television stunt work.

It would be nice if the 3 hours help a mid card grow. Even when 2 guys are working hard in a match Cole and King are babbling on about Cena/Johnny Ace or Brock Lesner.
How about putting over the guys working in the ring more then calling near falls and the occasional "Woah!" from the King?
Here's a quick months worth of mid card building. IC title number one contenders torny with 3 weeks of qualifiers and the fourth week the title match happens. If they invested time in the story and had the announcers put it over the title defense could main event that 4th RAW and the fans would care!

You're not imagining anything. It really was that bad.
The final match was even more horrendous that I could have ever guessed. Way too many hold moves, way too much time spent tagging back and forth in the corner. When Cena was FINALLY tagged in, we got two moves and then a dive into the lumberjacks. The least they could have done was have the locker room empty out shortly before all that happened.

As Kevin said.. It's officially WCW.
3hr RAWs.. That was the beginning of the end for WCW
WCW: Opened up with 25 minutes of NWO crap that setup a NWO match for the main event that ALWAYS ended in a battle royal clusterfuck for no reason. Replace NWO w/ Cena and John.
I also like how they dropped all that money on Brock and he's practically forgotten about already.

This summary from The Score.com WWE Blog sums it up best i feel:
John Cena is pretty hard to like, even on a good day.
Last night was not a good day for John Cena.
WWE was in full on liquid paper mode on Monday night, whiting out Sunday’s plot holes all over the place. John Cena was charged with the duty of circumnavigating the WWE Universe around this story.
Sometimes Cena comes out for these interviews and resembles an actual human being who was wronged. It’s rare, but it happens. This was not one of those. This interview was very much John Cena, the Ce-Nation leader and face of the PG WWE doing “his thing”. Whatever that is.
Things we learned this Monday’s ten-minute Johnologue:
1 If you pointed out that John Cena should have wasted less time at Over the Limit and just beaten John Laurinaitis, you’re wrong! Cena’s logic was that Big Show would have attacked him no matter what, so it didn’t matter what Cena did in the match. Even the numerous times that Cena had Ace in his finishing hold and just let go, with Big Show nowhere to be found. Those don’t count.
2 If you pointed out that Big Show and Laurinaitis had a deal made before Sunday and therefore Biggie should have been fired, you’re wrong again! Apparently, the two parties only had a verbal agreement, which means Big Show technically was not on the payroll. As the story goes, Show physically resigned a contract as soon as the Ace/Cena match was over Sunday night.
90% sure someone could get Biggie fired again if they really wanted to challenge this thing in a court of law. Actually, screw it, let’s just scrap the physical WWE Ring and air the new third hour of Monday Night Raw on Court TV. Between this and the Lesnar storyline, we may as well.
I think longtime fans would agree that if you need to explain your main event to people the next day, you didn’t create an effective sports entertainment program the night before.
I wish some of the ideas on display in this interview were communicated a little more clearly during the actual match they referenced.
Also I love the term: "Johnologue"

I'm gonna say that his suspension is a work for the upcoming week. I can't believe he's suspended "indefinitely" for something that is just not a big deal. He didn't burn it our cover it with the bodies
of 12 year old hookers.
If it isn't a work, then way to go WWE take one of your biggest draws off TV and house shows for a trivial PC driven non-event. I'm sure Jerichos got a bank load of money and is sitting on a beach somewhere not caring. Way to punish him.

Just got back from vaca, still havent watched last weeks Raw. Contemplating just deleting it before I make myself annoyed.
Also, Brock couldve worked out just fine with his limited dates. People only care about Raw and PPVs anyway. Nobody gives a fuck about house shows. I gave a perfectly good and sense making angle that couldve worked for the entire summer, saved him 9 more dates for the rest of this year, and still had the dates saved to build his angle for Mania. Dont blame Brock, the WWE has the talent roster, they just arent smart enough to do anything with it.

Brock Lesnar shown ringside at UFC 146 tonight
Post Fight Presser
Journalist joked with Dana about Brock at ring side and it's funny because he was never at fights before even when he worked for them.
Journalist asks Dana "Is there a reason he was here?"
Dana: Yes
Journalists asks if it's possible he may be coming back
Dana: It's possible
Later journalist mentions its neat about Brock and takes a jab at WWE by saying "Doesn't look like he's doing much over there on PPV"

Um, wow, so Dana White is helping Lesner work the marks?
Unless that contract of limited dates includes a clause for Lesner to appear on rival PPVs then I wouldn't put too much stock in this.
Even after WM 29, he would need training before his first UFC match back.

He signed for 35 dates. To be honest, thats all a guy of his caliber should be used for. At most they would need him 67 dates. Thats every single Raw and PPV, which really isnt necessary. If Im a Brock Lesnar, the days of me working house shows are OVER.
Its not being lazy, its recognizing that youve passed the part where you need to kill yourself to get over. The biggest problem that former WWE stars have with them is their schedule. Its grueling. And it took about 30 wrestler deaths before they even lightened it up to what it is now. Once youve made it to the status of a guy like HBK or The Rock or Brock Lesnar, you save your health and your performances for when it counts, you dont waste them on house shows that only 6000 hayseeds will ever see.

How can you try and remake McMahon / Austin when the wrestler is known for being the ultimate company man??? Hes the fucking anti-Austin. Everything Steve Austin did as a performer, John Cena does the complete opposite. Putting him in a feud against managenment is just dumb right off the bat.

Apparently the fans are tired of him rewriting it too. So you hire 15 soap opera writers and then throw thier work in the garbage and rewrite it yourself. Good business.
