He looked like he was completely reading from a script. Thats what happens when you take away all control from good promo men. One of the VERY few things TNA does right, they use the old school style of cutting promos.

Punk had line of the night. Cenas promo at the end was pretty good.

But overall Raw sucked.

At the very least, he was always adequate on the mic. Last night, though, it was as if Scott Hall was occupying his brain. I think most scripted promos sound horrible. I dont care who says them. Word is Austin, Rock, HBK and Taker still go by the old way of "heres your points, you have 6 minutes" of cutting promos and I believe it. Also Punk swears that when he took off he was given the go ahead by Vince to say whatever he wanted, and you can see how good those promos are. Even the Cena raps, which he wrote himself always came off 10 times better then his regular promos. I honestly believe hiring scriptwriters to write entire promos was one of the worst ideas the WWE has ever had. Delivering great promos was an art form, and they are ruining it.

Anyone else agree that CM Punk has brought out the absolute best in Cena? Every match they have together is a phenomenal match from both men. I haven't seen two men have such great chemistry together in the ring for a long time. Cena is actually really enjoyable to watch when he is wrestling Punk. Cena put over Punk so huge last night when he said Punk is the only person who can go toe to toe with him. It's really good to see Cena sort of reinvented a bit with Punk. I don't cringe anymore when his stupid music hits.

These though two, if WWE plays their cards right could have one of those year long legendary feuds that only come around every 10 years or so.

There's a new pro wrestling drama headed to NBC - and WWE star Dwyane "The Rock" Johnson will be one of the Executive Producers for the project, along with Jerry Bruckheimer and Jonathan Littman.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Jerry Bruckheimer Television in association with Warner Bros. Television have sold a the one-hour "fictional wrestling drama" based int he 1980s to NBC.

The show will see Brent Fletcher and Seamus Kevin Fahey as co-executive producers and writers, with Kristie Anne Reed on board as a co-Executive Producer.

The lighting might cover up any sort of botched move during a live show. The original Sin Cara (Mistico) has also been sent home by WWE after returning from his suspension and the new Sin Cara (Hunico from FCW or Incognito from AAA) will play out future the Sin Cara character.

Im kinda shocked that on the Smackdown Super show tonight they turned Sin Cara heel. With the amount of money he makes selling masks and t shirts and other crap to kids I'm surprised they would turn him like that.

But then again, I have also read online that off-air for RAW yesterday the WWE made several references to the nWo to the audience... Nash also uses his nWo music too. Who the hell knows what they think sometimes...

FWIW (RE: No Nash V Punk)

On Monday's RAW, we saw Kevin Nash challenge CM Punk to a match at Night of Champions, only to have the match changed to Triple H vs. CM Punk at the end of the show.

Company officials did plan for Nash to wrestle at Night of Champions, however those plans were scrapped after Nash's recent visit to Pittsburgh for his physicals. While details are still sketchy, something about what the doctors observed made WWE decide against having him work a full match, even with a seasoned performer like Punk, who could take the majority of the bumps.

It's expected that Kevin Nash will remain part of WWE storylines, perhaps as an enforcer/bodyguard for Triple H, but don't expect to see him working singles matches any time soon.

In as brief as i can tell it, here's how I would have re-booked this angle:

- Vince gets booted by the BOD and they name HHH as his replacement.
- HHH is glad to book the Cena vs. Punk match at Summerslam because it's good for business. he takes Punk's comments lightly because he understands that Punk has his role to play.
- HHH names SCSA the guest referee at SS in order to maintain control and ensure a winner happens.
-Match happens. Punk wins. Nash powerbombs Punk after SCSA has left the ring area. Johnny Ace sends Del Rio down to cash in. Del Rio new WWE Champ.
- Raw: Punk/ Nash confront. Nash say's I got a text. HHH say's no text. Johhny Ace is scene patting Del Rio on the back and then talking with someone on the Phone.
- Raw 2: HHH doesn't understand what's up with the text. Say's his phone was in his office and nobody can get in. He asks for a copy of the tape, sees that Steph was the only person to go into the office. Assumes the worst.
- Raw 3: Punk wants Nash, Punk says everything he said about HHH being a bitch to Steph was true blah blah blah. Nash and Punk gets booked because Nash will do what HHH can't anymore because he's gone soft and corporate.
- Night of Champions: Punk runs into Steph in the back. Steph tells Punk as much as she would like to gloat, she can't because she honestly didn't send the text. She tell Punk to be careful because he's a bigger target then he thinks Blah, Blah, Blah. HHH and Nash do the we don't "get" each other anymore. HHH is soft wah, wah, wah. Match time. punk in control, out comes Johhny Ace for interference. HHH runs down to stop said interference. All hell's breaking loose. CM Punk is about to submit Nash. Out of nowhere Undertaker comes in. Tombstone. No ref to see it. Nash covers 1-2-3. Show ends with HHH doing the WTF face. Punk blames it all on HHH.
-Raw 4: HHH demands to get to the bottom of it. Steph comes out and says she believes in HHH and can't stand by anymore she knows Johhny Ace sent the text from Hunter phone. Johnny Ace, Nash, Del Rio and Undertaker come out. Johhny Ace tells HHH he will always be a figure head, that there will always be loyalty to one man in the WWE who made Nash, and Taker, Del Rio, and HHH. VINCE MCMAHON.

The problem with Corre and Nexus was that nobody really reacted to them beyond the first night. With Vickie you have someone who consistently draws such an incredible amount of heat that it would be great to have a group of mid-card guys attached to that.

I would take The Rock coming out to be a random timekeeper on Raw over any current WWE superstar. Watched most of Vengeance last night. Michael Cole really takes away from a match when he's doing his shtick.

Christian vs Sheamus: Christian putting someone over. Again.

Orton vs Rhodes: Couldn't really give a fuck about this match and to be honest, i have no idea who even won. There's just something about both of these guys that i don't particularly like.

Punk/HHH vs Miz/Truth: the "you suck" entrance song has gotta go. Nash looked better than he had previously. At least this time he didn't have to speak. They've really pissed away any heat Punk had going for him at this point.

Big Show vs Mark Henry: For two big guys they actually worked a really good match. Other than Henry slightly botching that chokeslam from the top rope, which was essentially a 400lb flipping into the ring, still impressive. The superplex was awesome and seemed to really get over with the crowd, even if we've seen the exploding ring before.

John Laurinatis consistently fucks up on the mic every time he's given the chance to speak. He's not a good heel. He looks like he's got stage fright. I'm not really that familiar with his career but is that why Johnny Ace never really made it?

Cena vs ADR: Delrio is better than some people on here give him credit for. At least Cena didn't win.

I will reserve any real judgement till this tag match happens. As of now I found the Rocks role at WM27 lack luster and his wordy back and forth with Cena dull after about 2 weeks. Still I wanted to see their match at WM28 I would like to see him in action especially 10 years after the showdown with Hogan. Shit that whole angle writes itself.

I just want to throw up at the build for this so far. Same with HHH & Nash.

Right now hes making more money filming GI Joe 2 for a few months then hed make in 2 years of wrestling. He doesnt need the money. He came back to have another big Wrestlemania match, maybe help put over some current WWE guys that need it DESPERATELY, and maybe bring back a bunch of fans that cant stand what the product has become.

How can it be a fail if the Raws he was on last year drew 1 million more viewers then the ones he wasnt on??? Also, his appearance at Wrestlemania definitely boosted the fuck out of their buyrates.

Why do you think so many of them get hooked on painkillers? They pay for their own medical, their own insurance, and their own travel. Alot of guys have fought for him to get a push including Punk and Cena. His youtube videos do well and have gotten him noticed. WWE is all about making an impact on social media in case you havent noticed all the FB and Twitter plugs the last 6 months.
