I think it was actually Eric Bischoff with the tag team hatred. Vince used to have an awesome tag team scene (the 80's and 90's had a lot of successful, full-time teams as opposed to makeshift throw-togethers), but now he's focused on singles belts and storylines.

whats the longest running tag team since the 2000's began ??

off the top of my head i have to say the dudleys, MNM had a long run, kendrick and london
cant remeber when they broke up the hardys

cade and murdoch had a few yrs run but i think they broke them up somewhere in that time and then reformed the tag team


but most other tag teams are either 2 singles guys thrown together to advance a storyline, or 2 guys put together and when one shows more pop/personality/etc. than the other they have the more popular one turn on the other to try and advance him as a singles guy

A few matches here and there (man do I feel bad for Primo getting no reaction whatsoever) but nothing in the way of storyline progression other than Shawn Michaels and Chris Jericho's amazing segment. That seems the only thing worthy to watch on Raw as well as Glamarella.

Seriously this is an attitude that is very problematic for the wrestling business. What is wrong with a couple of long story arcs in the federation? Having a couple of well constructed longer arcs would help to provide a bit of continuity to the WWE's shit storytelling the last few years.


How long did Flair and Dusty feud?
How long did Vince and Austin feud?


While not every story can last a long time, having a healthy mixture would be a great addition for their storytelling. You could use the longer arcs to spin off alliances and mini-feuds, rather than this loose version of one-dimensional heels and faces.

Ok..... when CM Punk won the title. That was good. Even having Tony Atlas turn heel manager was amusing. Its like they get these little flashes of brilliance and you start to think things might just pick up again and then BOOM youre back to crap all over again.
Even though Im sure the Orton/Punk feud would be interesting, I wanna see Punk as Champ again. Id have HBK win it and have Punk challenge if I was writing.

I wish they would have slowed down a bit on the Jericho/HBK feud. No Mercy should have had Michaels v. Cade and then Jericho's idea for the World Title match where he faced the winner of Batista/JBL.

And then, since the next PPV after that is Cyber Sunday, THEN they could do the Ladder Match, since the fans would vote for it, and would fit in perfectly with the concept. Michaels wins the title that night. Then they could each captain a team at Survivor Series with HBK's team winning.

The next night on RAW there's a big brawl, and due to the violence of the HBK/Jericho feud, Adamle would sign a doctrine that would keep Michaels and Jericho from having any physical contact outside of an official match, and then refuse to sign them to face each other in any matches.

Shawn Michaels and CM Punk would have a title match at Armageddon, and Punk would win the belt back, clean and straight-up (he would go on to successfully defend his title at the Royal Rumble against Batista, thus bringing that rivalry full circle).

And then to circumvent the doctrine Adamle signed, both Jericho and Michaels qualify for the Royal Rumble match, so they finally get to fight again after 2 months of no physical contact. They eliminate each other because they only qualified with the intention of getting at each other (kinda cliche, but it still works).

Then the set up to No Way Out would feature Cade and Jericho beating down Michaels in a bad way, but all of a sudden Ric Flair makes his shocking return to save HBK. But Flair is retired, so he can't team with Shawn to take on Michaels and Cade -- but he chooses his protege Batista as HBK's partner. Batista and Shawn mend fences after their rivalry that was spawned from Michaels retiring Flair, so they team up.

Then FINALLY, Michaels and Jericho have the big final showdown at WrestleMania, culminating a year long masterwork of a feud.

Wouldn't that be great?

TNA is def more interesting wrestling wise and storyline to a certain extent if you can take overused, constant and predictable repeated swerves. But they are no way a threat to the WWF. They are nowhere near the merchandising, advertising, house show revenue, and mainstream media recognition level of McMahon.
