My Direct TV DVR is possessed

It seems ever since we got this thingm it has a mind of its own and
decides to record things for no reason what so ever. Ive gone through
my "To do list and the only thing that shows are the shows that I know
I told it to record. Any suggestions?<br />

i think the built in software automatically chooses shows based on other shows you have recorded.
