Let's WAIT until they actually say it was drug-related before we actually go down that road.

Drug addiction damages your body in horrible ways and that damage never really goes away. By all indications, Eddy's been clean for some time. If his death was drug-related, there's no reason yet to believe that it wasn't caused by a build-up of damage from his PREVIOUS years of addiction, not because he overdosed on anything now.

EDIT: Remember, when Chris Candido died earlier this year, it was NOT because he overdosed on anything. He rather tragically got a terrible infection from an injury which poisoned him and that was the cause of his death, not because he succumbed to any person demons. So it's very, very premature to automatically think Eddy's death was the result of him relapsing into his addictions.

I still can't believe it. I don't know how he died but for some reason I blame Vince cause in the end he wins. These wrestlers are treated like crap to many of them are dying to young and Vince is just cashing it in. They need a union.

I was at the TNA ppv I know the show opened up with an "In Memory of Eddie Guerrero" screen,The crowd chanted "Eddie" every 15 minutes it seemed which was great,Konaan made mention of Eddie in his promo thing he does,The Dudleys wore Eddie on their tape and Bubba at the end of the promo said to Eddie Guerrero Viva con dios mi amigo (go with God my friend) and at the end of the match the Dudleys/Rhyno and Christian all got an Eddie chant started did the cross/point to the sky thing and put an Eddie poster on top of the table Jarrett went through and also I noticed during the 8 man x division match Chris Daniels,Matt Bentley and a couple of the others had one black tape band around their arm.Im not sure if they mentioned on t.v. but I thought they might have an official moment of silence but they didnt.Theyre website has something on it though.Yesterday was so surreal with Eddie dying and Christian showing up in TNA and I actually was right next to Dvon I mean like inches the whole time he was beating on Chris Harris and then I was on the other side as Jarrett and Rhyno went at it which ended with Rhyno falling right in front of me off the bleachers and then I said something to Jarrett and he screamed back right in my face like inches away it was crazy. The whole show had a weird feeling because you just knew all fans were hurt over this loss.

i love that they are doing a tribute show, but its so hard to watch. Chavo and Benoit talking about Eddie broke my heart. maybe its Benoit always playing the real serious role, but his segment on Eddie was brutal to watch. i felt so bad. RIP Eddie.

Damn, what is it with these wrestlers dying all the time? RIP, Eddie. Someone needs to crank up Frighty-Fright's "Wrestlers In Heaven" song. ;)
Oh, by the way, which one's pinky?

I can't believe Scott Steiner is still alive and what's

more amazing i guess Fez was in better shape then Eddie.

On my first ECW show, up at the Orange County Fairgrounds in Middletown, NY, on a rainy night, I saw the greatest wrestling match I've ever seen in the 24 years I've been following wrestling Guerrero vs. Malenko. It was amazing, the rain even stopped for their match. If you ever saw their 2 out of 3 falls match that was their last night in ECW you'll know how good pure wrestling can be.

Eddie went through a lot in his career. Right before he came to the states, his partner Art Barr passed away. He got the usual run around talented midcarders got in WCW, his first night in WWE he went for a frog splash and completely dislocated his elbow. The story of his struggle with is demons has been spoken about alot.

It really is impressive where he went with his career. Before he was let go from the wwe that time, he was just starting a program with Austin. Austin demanded to work with him because he saw that Eddie had the full package and was one of the more entertainging performers that they had. He was the first (and only at this point) Latino World Champion in a major American promotion.

It's always sad when a person who has made an effort to better themselves is taken away from us too soon. I hope he has found the peace now that was a struggle for him to have in life.

My first time seeing Eddie Guerrero was also the 2 out of 3 falls match vs Malenko which was awesome. It was on ECW t.v. on MSG and they also had shown clips of their matches leading up to that match,so the whole hour show was pretty much on Malenko-Guerrero and at that time I only watched WWE, really I had only heard of ECW recently and would watch it from time to time but when I saw that match I was amazed at actually seeing wrestling and the crowd reaction it was unbelievable. That match is really one of the first things I remember about falling in love with ECW.I cant sy I really ever watched WCW so the only matches I seen were what they put out on dvd and of course Eddie became one of my favorites in WWE.I cant believe he died.Mysterio really hit it on the head when he said he keeps thinking this is a dream and he'll wake up and Eddie will be back.By the way Mr. J L in the purple mask was Jerry Lynn for the few people who might not know that.

have cable anymore. i wonder if it was from the sterioids effect on his
body or just the massive amounts of coke he did.
The official cause of death right now is heart disease from his previous hard living past.

wrestling fan of 25 years and one thing that i love seeing is wrestlers being humans, not just characters. the worst part of that is that it seems they only get the chance to do that when something tragic like this happens. to see chavo, batista, rey rey and benoit last night absolutely killed me. it's also amazing to read all the message boards and to see just what someone like eddie meant to so many people that he never even met. i never met him, was a huge fan, but still never KNEW him, yet watching last night had me in tears. and it's a damn good thing that i don't speak spanish or rey rey probably would have had me in the fetal position crying for my mommy! god bless eddie, may the angels in heaven welcome you with open arms!!!

After watching that tribute show, I really wished I had embraced the character of Eddie Guerrero more while he was alive. To be perfectly honest, I never was able to really get into him and that was mainly because of Vince's need to "over stereotype" the talent. The whole thing with the lowrider and saying "homes" every other word and the general act of making Eddie act like he just crossed the border annoyed me. He was never like that in ECW or WCW, but Vince in his infinite wisdom had to force the Mexican stereotypes upon us and that turned me off to the character.

As a wrestler though, I could definitely appreciate Eddie. He truly was one of the best in the business, no doubt about it. He will definitely be missed.

If this is true ...old man flair is in trouble!

Reports further indicate that in a recent pay per view Judgement Day Guerrero bladed himself to such an extent during his match that he lost an unhealthy amount of blood. After the cameras had stopped rolling he collapsed in the ring and was rushed to a downtown Los Angeles hospital. He had gone into shock from the sheer amount of blood loss. It appears that he bladed himself as he realised that his match might turn out to be awful.

I predict his nephew Chavo will have gold within 30 days. Rumor is - Eddie was going to win the strap this week while Batista recoops from an injury....
