Just picked this up earlier today, and being a Huge Jake Roberts mark, I thought this DVD was great. Explains pretty much everything throughout his career and childhood. His issue with "Beyond the Mat"/etc.One of the extras I absolutely loved was the reason the Jake/Hogan feud really didnt continue..As far as the matches go, I havent watched them yet, but I'm mostly certain that they will be good.(And to add I had no clue that Jake was did a brief ECW stint, but all in all it was interesting)If you want to get the DVD that has the 2-disk collectors edition, go to FYE, got mine for 20 bucks...great buy

One of the extras I absolutely loved was the reason the Jake/Hogan feud really didnt continue..and that was because.....

Well I didnt want to spoil it, but part of the reason was this:On "The Snake Pit" Jake DDT'd Hogan...and well you would think the fans would cheer for Hogan to get up and beat his ass....wrong. They kept cheering "DDT" over and over. They didnt really explain Hogans reason, but I can prolly think that Hogan got mad and didnt want to continue with it. There are some bashings of the Ultimate Warrior in the DVD too.

Im the only person who thinks Jake Roberts is a piece of crap. The guy never won a belt, his wrestling skills can be compared to john cena and overall the only reason people like jake the snake is that he carried around a snake.

<div>The DVD was kinda a puff piece.  Yes he said he did drugs and drank a lot but NO ONE BASHED HIM!   In the LOD DVD you can tell Animal HATED Snake.  In the Jake the Snake DVD you got the impression Animal just did not care for him.   Are you telling me this junkie made no enemies.  Never injured anyone while drunk.  I find this all hard to believe.  I do think the DVD is solid but just a puff piece.</div>.

P.S Don't judge a wraslter by the amount of belts he had back then.  There were many talented wreslters who did not hold belts.   Barbar, Snuka, JYD, King Kong Bunde, and Big John Stud just to name a few.

Actually Jake bashed Warrior but it is alwys nice to see people bash Vince over every little thing, kinda like you just accussing Vince doing of Warrior

You are one of those people that think the WWE is putting out a good product and that Vince is God. You probably would also be one of those people that do that lame "I'm not worthy" bow to him if you were at a show and he came out.

The last I saw of Jake 'the snake' was on Beyond the mat, and he was a mess.As
far as his wrestling ability he was very underrated, and had great
matches with Rick Rude, The Million dollar man and then Virgil. The
whole Andre the Giant snake bit was the begining of the end for Jake,
but you have to commend him for putting Austin over the top when he
could have just walked away.

Part of Jake's job was to get people ready for Hogan. As for the "Beyond the Mat", pretty much they only showed all the bad shit on Jake, in which Jake was very disappointed with it and wasnt even invited to the premiere of the movie itselfAs one of the guys in the DVD stated, Jake pretty much put on a good match with anyone, no matter who it was.

Self-Hatred FTW Begin your response here... that's where you seperate the good wrestlers from the rest of the packand there were many who were old nwa school who could be put in a ringwith anyone and make it a good match

I got the DVD for Christmas and I think it was fantastic.  I
also enjoyed teh fact taht Dibiase and Steamboat were involved in the
documentary part in interviews, they did have some good Matches with
Roberts. the matches chosen were very good choices

I was never much for Jake as a kid when i watched him wrestle, but as
an adult i appreciate him more because when i was a kid i couldnt
really grasp the quality of his promos or his ring psychology. I mean..
i was a friggin kid, i Marked for Giant Gonzales because he was tall...
