OK 1st of all.  The sound is FUCKING TERRIBLE.  I've had better sound with no mics in dive bars.  Nice production XM.  You suck.  2nd.  I have my issues with Cover Bands, but these are just mediocre a best.  Dumbed down verisons of EVERY HIT!  It's bad enough that the best you can ever hope for is to live up to musicians that actually created something, but ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS SOUND LIKE THE CD!  It's a template, copy it stupid.3rd, Opie is THE WORST "Pump up the crowd" guy I've ever heard.  Why he came out 1st I'll never know.  He reverted back to some crappy Morning Zoo voice to get loud.  4th, WHERE IS RON AND FEZ.  I heard some really funny back and forth with people for about a half hour, then the show started.  Why even bother them to show up?5th.  Opie and Anthony had the chance to showcase bands tonight, and they pick 3 cover bands?  They like to say they take chances, but they really went the safe route with cover bands.  Get some original acts in there that can use the exposure, and I'm not saying Unhallowed.  Don't be stupid.  I'm saying middle acts out there that could use national exposure to get to the next level.  This is fucking gay.I'm about ready to tap out.  Harry and Earl are the lucky ones tonight.

Lastly, the best part of the show besides the Ron and Fez intro was all of the show people on stage busting on each other.  Just do a live feed kind of show!  I'd rather see a few comedians, one or 2 songs by a band and A LOT of talking.  It's the anniversary of a TALK SHOW.  Remember guys?

Well, to be fair, Ron and Fez sound like they've
already been on the air more than they thought they would all night.
They were probably only supposed intorduce everything and provide some
occasional filler.That being said, when they were on tonight
they were golden. I could listen to Ron tell stories of his old standup
days anytime.

You're right Moe. At least the Rush band did a
decent job of sounding like Rush. This one stinks on every level. The
only reason I'm hanging on is that I'm hoping for more
R&F.

Just tuned in.  I can understand playing 2U because of Brother Joe's connection with the show, but how is giving a national platform to tribute bands a good way to celebrate the anniversary of a comedy show.

Also, my feed cut out suddenly and turned to a Best Of where No Filter Paul and his Swoogie loving wife came into the studio.Anyone else get this?  Over on Wackbag it happened to some posters, I don't see anyone had it happen here.  I guess I missed the drum solo.

Again - I would blame the mix on the Hard Rock sound guys, not the
XM people.  Venues like that have their own sound crews and staff,
and I would not be shocked if they were union guys who got into a
pissing contest.

Well it's the next day and I still feel the same.  It was indeed fun to leave it on to bust on, but it was a horrible show overall.  It wasn't at all what I was expecting.  I wanted talk, not coverbands.  I thought honestly they would have done something, then cut away to best ofs as the bands played.  Whoever decided to let coverbands play full sets on satellite radio made a fucking mistake.  It was terrible radio.  It probably sounded better there, but the majority of their fans weren't going to be there, so they should have figured out a good on air show, not just a live show.I can't wait for next week when they're done recaping, complaining and yelling at us all for hating the show and things go back to normal.

I just finished listening to the show, jeesh it was just plain horrible.I am not a big fan of road shows to begin with because most of the stuff that goes on cant be translated to the radio.but at least do something with the sound for christ sakes. In the end, probally one of the worst OA shows ever.

I had all intentions of making this live show----shit, I was going into the city anyway---then I told my friends what the event was----and they thought they would have gotten beat up in their costumes---They were guys dressed as broadway show divas---I was a half naked cupid....So we went down to the village instead.sux I missed a live event, but they feared for their safety.PS I am in an REM tribute band--and we only get a few hundred dollars per gig---however my bass player in our band plays in Sticky Fingers, the Rolling Stones tribute band from Long Island, and he says they get thousands----ive seen them and they are damn good.
