It's front page news on WWE.com.

Making me question its validity.

The reports says it's still unclear as to whether or not it's a work or a shoot. Me personally, I think it's for real, and I do not blame Christian one bit.

Just when things looked brighter for Christian when he was still on RAW, they move him to the B-Show "Smackdown" and no real push in the near future.

TNA better get him.

maybe he will come back, as they all seem to do, but for now I don't think this is a work. pwinsider is usually good with their info and they say this is not a work. that his contract runs out this week and he wasn't happy with the money or the depush he received.

Considering that WWE.com ran a legitimate story on Brock Lesnar's possible return, I think they wouldn't work a quitting angle when there's been no signs of it on TV. Christian basically did what Brian Kendrick did a while back and left because they weren't doing anything worthwhile for him.

Since one contract expired and he apparently refused to sign another one, does that mean he the "no compete clause" doesn't apply to him? He does live in Florida where another promotion is based out of.

The no-compete clause
does not apply in this case. Christian could work the next TNA
taping if both parties were inclined. Supposedly he will work
Taboo Tuesday if he is voted into the match.

I read on WrestlingHeadlines.com that the only reason WWE.com posted that story was to sway votes for Taboo Tuesday.

It's not a work. Meltzer is reporting that this is 100% legit.

Dave's word on the matter:

Dave@wrestlingobserver.com

Jay Reso's final match in WWE was last night at the TV tapings in Los Angeles. While the WWE web site reported him quitting, which was accurate, what happened was a week ago in San Francisco, he was given a new contract, as his old one expired, and told to sign on the spot. He didn't sign. He did come back to work and do another job last night when he quit."

Apparently he'd been very vocal lately as to how he had been used by the company. Can't really blame the guy, he went from an upper card heel on RAW to being little more than a jobber on Smackdown, and for no good reason. The guy actually got pretty over on the mic, but that wasn't planned, so the WWE can't have that - the only ones allowed to get over are the ones THEY want to get over.

Their loss. Here's hoping that he has some interest in TNA. Word is that he lives in Florida so it would literally be only a short drive from his house to the TNA tapings in Orlando.

He deserves a lot better than what he has gotten.

Christian quits, jerchio is no where to be seen, and stone cold is pissed off again, the only good thing in the wwe right now is the coach's entrance music.

He's creative. I'm sure he can think of a new name. Hell I'm already used to calling the former Billy Gunn by his new name Kip James and Brother Ray and Brother Devon doesn't really phase me that much, so if he decided to go by like, idk J. Rizza (a take of his last name, think about it "I'm J to the Rizza cause you know I got Charisma." lol) it wouldn't bother me that much.

One of my friends jokingly threw the name Chris Chain around because it's technically not Christian but it does sound like it when you say it fast.

Far as I can tell with my limited viewing of TNA, there's no one who
can really work the stick except Raven. Christian can really make
a name for himself there with his mic ability, get really elevated,
then come back as a top tier player in the WWE

True, but I also would put Monty Brown up there now, he's really improved since he's started there
