View Full Version : The soundtrack to your life
I dunno if this should be in entertainment or not, but here goes:
What are the songs you would choose to be on the soundtrack to your life. You can explain why if you like, you can just list if that floats your boat. It can be songs that are fitting this very moment, or songs from various points in your life. Basically its up to you, becuase after all, it is your life!
Im still thinking about mine but here are some starters:
History Of A Boring Town- less than jake
Wanted- the refreshments
You Cant Always Get what you want- rolling stones
In My Life - Beatles
Last Ride- Pearl Jam
I'll think of more later
If you put a tin can to your ear, you can hear the subway - deez

Great thread Gwen! A musical soundtrack...I have to think about this one. I do know that my life should have a laugh track, like a wacky sitcom!;)
"Hatred paralyzes life; love releases it. Hatred confuses life; love harmonizes it. Hatred darkens life; love illuminates it."

Schematic, don't you have a ferris wheel to stare at? Don't fuck with the Gwenny Bear, I know people who like to break things...
Paint It Black - The Rolling Stones
Ballerina - Dan Bern (it has nothing to do with a Ballerina, but does that make me any less of a fag? No.)
Where is my Mind - The Pixies
Strange Weather or Swordfishtrombones - Tom Waits
There's more, I can't think right now. Has to be some They Might Be Giants (Ana Ng, probably), Sunny Day Real Estate, and Soul Coughing.

"He's a Grand Olde Fag!"
Well, maybe not....
I could list a bunch of Death Metal songs you're all never heard of, but my fingers are tired.

I'd say "Where is My Mind" but that would be too predictable. I don't know I need to think about it really.
"Everybody's Talkin" might be on it.
"Nowhere Man" and "Helter Skelter" from Beatles.
"Sympathy for the Devil"
"Layla" because that's always a cool song to have.
"Theme to The Good, the Bad and the Ugly"
"Mack the Knife"
"The Seeker"
"My Way"- either Sinatra, Vicious, or both
Carrot Man to Big Apple: I Miss my baby carrot.
