(ok maybe this is a lame thread. I have to ask)I was just wondering if anyone has ever heard of the band Screaming Blue Messiahs. Even better, anyone happen to have an album/cassette/cd of theirs that I could somehow copy?..which kind of makes me wonder, is there even a way to burn album or cassette music to a CD?Or, does anyone know a person that maybe collects, or is knowledgeable about, or can locate rare and out of print music?Hoping that maybe you ultra-cultured east coasters can hook me up. I am desperately seeking the album Gun Shy.

I just did an Amazon.com and Ebay.com search on them and found a very limited selection of their stuff.  Nothing about Gun Shy either.As for putting tapes on CD, I think the easiest way is to get the right cords to record from the out of a tape deck into your computer, then burn the individual song files onto a CD.  You'd have to start and stop a recording program with every song, but it's possible.  At least that's the half assed way I'd end up doing it.

of stuff out there to download. If you dont have either of those
programs, you can go to download.com and get them free. I got about 10 files on Bearshare, and 30 on Shareza Or if you want, I'll download it for you and e-mail them to you. PM me for that.

I'm familiar.  When I was doing college radio, their album "Bikini Red" was pretty big on the college charts.  I don't think I have a copy, and I never heard "Gun Shy".

this is so fucking sweet! Thank you! Thank you!Gun Shy was their best. Wild Blue Yonder is an absolute classic. I had their cassettes when I was a teeny bopper...ALL those years ago....man I wish I had them now. Their CDs are out of print....Gun Shy shows up once in a while on ebay but its usually about 100 bucks or more. Let me check out all of these suggestions. I FUCKING LOVE this board! WHOO HOOOOO
