Remeber the days when it wasn't trendy to like the yankess?? Im sorry but if you started liking the yanks in the late 90's you're a F'n winnerpicker. And as for the Mets: blame benitez, that stupid fuck.

Ok I fixed my sig problem, can I have my old undername text back?

Just last year, they were the National League Champions. No one specified what kind of Championship they had to win. I think if they get rid of the dead wood (Zeile, Ventura, Franco), they will win next year. Go Mets.

Loyalty is a great thing Gwen.
I root for the Knicks, Rangers and Jets and I will never jump on any bandwagon.
I just hope the see the Jets win a Superbowl in my lifetime, but that's another thread.

MOOKIE!!!!!!!!! I STILL have my Topps cards album full of the ENTIRE 1986 METS line-up! Not that it's worth anything, but I do.

But the following seasons QUICKLY showed me the error of my ways, and I joined up with Mattingly, Henderson, Winfeild, Martin, and the rest! Go YANKEES! God's chosen Ball Club!

Mets are excrement.

I believe that trade was Nolan Ryan for Jim Fregosi.
The Mets did steal David Cone from the Royals, for Ed Hearn.

The 1969 Mets would have destroyed the 1986 team. They had Seaver, Koosman, Ryan, and God! ;)

Being a Met fan is not easy.
Almost as hard as being a Jet fan.

The Blowhard

The 69 Mets were a team of destiny. They beat a juggernaut Baltimore team; the 86 Mets beat the Sox..barely.
Mary: Jet fan? Nice. People say I look like Joe Klecko! ;)

I was there when they won the pennant against the St. Louis Cards, and the fans tore up the stadium - way cool.

Go tell someone who cares...

I was at Nathan's in King's Plaza with my whole family during the last game in 86'. We ran home to catch the 9th inning. This thread is cruel.

Don't get me wrong - I've been a Mets fan since high school, many moons ago - I hope Piazza actually throws to second and the ball doesn't go into center field. God bless Jerry Grote!
