A few years ago, some old guy got into his car down the block from me. He slammed into the car behind him, quickly put the car into drive, plowed onto the sidewalk for half a block, into my driveway (my place is set back from the street), into the car parked there. He hit the car so hard that it lurched forward and slammed into my air conditioner, dislodging it from the wall!

That sucked!

They should give yearly drivers tests to people over 70 and not give a liscence to anyone under 20. Statistically those age groups are the worst drivers. Be fair and restrict both. I think my dad, who's 77, drives better than any 17 year old. His reflexes might be a little slower but he's not speeding excessively, driving recklessly, and tailgaiting while yapping on a cell phone like these kids do.

Old people vote in huge numbers. They'll vote anything you try to put in place down and no politician will back a measure to get old people off the road because they won't want to lose.

This is what young people get for not caring enough to take 5 fucking minutes out of their day to learn SOMETHING about their local politics or, God forbid, vote.

my nit picking. But after someone says "Impales" is "Kills" really
necessary? What the fuck do you think happened "He was impaled, but
Doctors reattached his head and he's in stable condition, sitting
up reading a newspaper" I assume someone from that newspaper OK'd
that headline, it just reads lousy.
Memory seems to bring up many news stories, though, of people impaled on gates [didnt a kid fall on a metal gate, and they cut the whole damn thing away and took him/gate to hospital?], or impaled in sundry industrial accidents, and they live; I guess vital organs were missed and bleeding wasn't that bad.

=

My nit-pick is whats impaling what. The article says the man was 'impaled by a windshield'; I would argue the car got impaled by the man.

Valid point here. I just currently got my licence at 23 and I am cautious as HELL. when I was younger (15-18) I still drove around in other peoples cars without a license and I remember driving like a real asshole.
