Ever have a NARC in your school?

<p>I was watching an episode of Strangers with Candy last night,&nbsp;Anyway the was drug problem at Flatpoint high and one of the gags was a really obvious narc, funny stuff!</p><p>I came from a pretty small and whitebread community and we never had a major drug problem in school more booze then anything else. Except once during my senior year a girl tranfered who just looked the part. 21 Jump Street had been on by then so everyone was familiar with concept of a narc she looked like an older persons idea of what a teenager should look like, she&nbsp;had an&nbsp;over the top heavy metal look about her way to much jewlery and dyed hair </p><p>The first day she's there we were in study hall people are talking about the new girl and this kid Paul yells out &quot;what is she a narc&quot; or something similar and the was the last time we saw her so we just assumed she was a narc or we hurt her feeling and she ran away to live on the streets or be a groupie for some bad metal band</p><p>Anyone actually have a narc in there school with arrests and the whole shebang or is the narc thing just something Hollywood made up?</p>

<p>When I was in college and I had to do one of my internships, me and
another classmate of mine were assigned to the same place. It was an
adolescent alcohol and drug rehab facility. Most of the kids there
thought we were NARCS initially.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Then in Newark, me
and my co-worker were escorting one of our clients to the local
shelter. I was in line making sure he would get in (and not leave) and
my co-worker was in the car. Next thing you know, I hear &quot;5-0&quot; being
whispered and someone in the line goes &quot;she's 5-0 too?&quot; referring to my
co-worker in the car. We used to get alot of that when we were in the
community and people didn't know who you are (especially when you show
up and the police follow shortly afterwards). Damn, I miss those
adrenaline rushes working in Essex County. I never got the same action
in Somerset or Monmouth County (where I work now). &nbsp;</p>

There were alot of NARC's in mahwah. The worst was, there was this
party that thankfully i couldn't attend. This chick Cheryl shows up. 10
minutes later, cops show up and bust everyone for smokin and drinkin
underage. Then Cheryl gets in her car and leaves, without getting in
trouble. <br />

how do you figure it sounds like a urban legend, who the hell would
know of these people. It was just some dumb bitch in our school. I
think she was a Jr at the time, and no one let her hear the end of it
for the rest of the year, despite her denials. <br />

One of my friends was just telling me that she thinks her roommate is a
narc. The roommate keeps asking what the girl has been doing, and has
she been doing any drugs. I think theres narc everywhere here, being as
I'm at a big druggie college.<br />

<p>NARCs are the kids who transfer from out of town and nobody knows. And yes moe it was an excellent game...right up there with APB.</p>

So sorry to go off topic,
but I can't pass up a mention of APB. APB was one of the best arcade
games ever. I even went so far as to buy an Atari Lynx, because it was
the only system they put it out on.<p>&nbsp;</p><p>Uhm....back to the topic...sorta. No narcs at my school.</p><p>However,
if I have to work downtown, I'm usually mistaken for vice squad...who
have ALSO shaken me down before....bastards. They don't fall for the
&quot;same side&quot; argument.&nbsp;</p>

I know that doing cetrtain drugs cause paranoida, but I think theres narcs everywhere at collgege and its freakin me out.
