I mean I dont wanna take away from the White Sox what they've now accomplished but I can help to that so many other teams that got eliminated would have beaten themThe Astros cant hit to save their asses, all season the reason why Clemens didnt have many wins, and on top of that their pitching sucked when they needed it to carry themAnd you know I dont feel bad for Biggio.F him.  Taking called 3rd strikes with runners on last night.terrible.

No, the Cubs aren't next.Well, by default, they ARE next, since they're only one left in this godforsaken little club of longterm baseball losers.And yes, I agree they won't do it next year.  Not unless several drastic changes happen over the winter...which I doubt.2007...maybe.  Once Baker is gone.

It rally wasnt that bad a of a series.I mean I dont thin anybody, outside of maybe Cub fans, had any reason to dislike either team.I was pulling for the Astros but I'm not really mad that the Sox won.Most times you can hate ateam for some reason but I didnt really have that in this series.

Easily the best analogy for the Sox winning this...The comparison in Chicago is that the White Sox was the obnoxious jerk at your high school who was dumb as a box of rocks, was not particularly well-liked by most people in high school, and who made a habit of picking fights and stuffing people into lockers. After he graduated, he went into a dead end job, became an alcoholic, and now spends his days engaging in schaudenfreude, reveling in the misery of others despite being a drunken, fat loser himself. Only now he's won the lottery.

Well, only Cubs fans had any reason to hate the Sox, or even want them to lose.  I suppose the biggest stake for people who weren't fans of either team would be rooting for the league to win it.My personal issues with the Sox aside, this was a fantastic WS...even though it was a sweep, it didn't really feel like one, not like last year when the Cardinals just up and rolled over.  I think the ratings have a lot to do with just how boring the REST of the postseason was this year.  Questionable ump calls aside, all of the other playoff series kinda sucked this season, excitement-wise.

Its not even like this series lacked excitement.I mean other than game 1 they were all " intense "Game 2 sees a 4-2 lead turn into a 6-4 lead and then into a 6-6 tie and eventually a 7-6 win in the 9th.Game 3 goes 14 inningsGame 4 is a 1-0 shutout with the potential tying run at 2nd and one out

fan, we go at it all the time. Also, my mom roots for the Jets despite
