I lost this fucking CD YEARS ago. It's like the 1st CD from Samael when they went from straight Death Metal to a more experimental form of Metal.

Ths CD is FUCKING AWESOME! Very weird as far as Death Metal goes, but I love it. More than anything, hearing it again takes me back to the time when I was listening to it a lot too. I'm just sitting here in my room with this shit cranked in my headphones. Thinking about dragging my drums around, having good times with friends, feelings of teen angst and shit. You know.

This CD is GODLY in so many ways. But I don't expect any of you to go out and buy a genre of music you don't like. I just want to discuss if any of you have ever rediscovered a great album after not hearing it or losing it for a long time. Anyone?

So do I Petrina and what I have forgotten was those old columbia house collections. Some of those were great when I was a kid but now I just laugh when I happen to play them or when I think of listening to them on the front deck . WOW such memories

"Heavy Metal Bee-Bop" by the Brecker Brothers. The horns on this album are killer! I lent this CD to someone and never saw it again. I just picked it up again.

At the time, I was thrilled. Now, the idea just frightens me.

It just occurred to me that I could ask this question here, with a greater possibility of getting a positive response than anywhere else I visit online.......

Do any of you guys remember a collection from the '80s called "Fun Rock"? It was two or three cassette tapes packed with "fun" music from the late 50's and into the 60's. Some of the songs on here included "Monster Mash", "Wipeout", "Wooly Bully", etc. Quite cliche' now that I think about it, but there were some not-so-regular old songs mixed in there and the arrangement of the tracks was pretty good as I remember it. You couldn't buy these except on TV. If anyone has these lying around, I would love to hear about it.

I am cleaning out my old vinyl albums and transferring them to cd. Unfortunately some of them are copyright protected. such as the woodentops giant album. It is cool hearing some of these albums again it has been about 15-30 years since I have listened to some of them. I have some old KTel albums from the 70's with Johnny Cash singing "a boy named Sue". I also found a cool album the concert for Kampuchia with the Who, Robert Plant, Queen and others.

Next time I go downstairs I will pull out Fun Rock and get the track listing for you.

Barring the few slow, ballad songs this CD is TITS bro.

I could take or leave Prince, but he did such a good job on this album I can't even begin to describe it. I mean I also know that it reminds me of one of the greatest movies of all time, but the music is top notch. Good work ya little purple weirdo.

I just dug out this old album...

...looking for the song "Centurians of Rome." I wanted to hear it after watching a Rome marathon. But it wasn't on this album and I couldn't find it on Limewire either.
But there were still some great old songs on this one, like Tooling for Anus and Crippled Children Suck.
