it seems the WWE is extending and open invitation to the Warrior to come on byte this to defend himself with the release of the dvd about him, it has a bunch of wrestlers talking shit about him.  interesting, to bad i dont have wwe 24/7

I can't speak for others but I have no interest in the Warrior.That's
you, but you're forgeting how huge he was in the late 80s/early
90s.  There's really a huge market for Warrior.

I picked this up at Walmart on Saturday. The guy sucked, but listening to people bash him cracked me up. Plus, I wanted the uncut Warrior/Savage match from WM 7.

honestly though, Warrior has some serious mental issues. the man is very fucked up in the head, hardly anything he says makes sense anyway so I don't see how a cheesy Byte This appearence would generate any heat or interest in the DVD.

That Warrior/Savage Match at 7 was some awesome
shit. I'm sure if I watched it now I wouldn't be able to sit through
it, but at that time I watched that match over and over and over
again.

HHH will never be half as popular as the Ultimate
Warrior was in his prime. He knows this and it kills him that someone
so nuts and crazy and uninterested and hated could do so much that HHH
can't when HHH is pretty much in charge and can do whatever he
wants.

warrior was great in 1990-1 for a young kid like me at the time.  i thought it was way to early to take the strap from him at royal rumble 1991.

Got it today. I got the FYE dvd and it comes with the savage summer slam 92 match, nice.

Like DDP used to say... ya love him, ya hate him, you'll never forget him. UW will be forever known.

I didn't watch him as a kid as I got into wrestling in 93. This was like a history lesson to me.

I thought Matt Striker's Warrior impersonations were pretty
funny.  I also liked his other stuff that he did.  Maybe this
will be his new gimmick.  I have liked his matches on Heat. 
Apparently he's been sent to the Deep South training facility.

Yes, they were on Byte This.  He also did Stone Cold and Macho
Man.  I was around once backstage at a Cyberspace show and he was
doing all types of requests of wrestlers and they were excellent.

Self Destruction is floating around the torrents I saw it yesterday and here are my thoughts1-
Vice readly admits that he saw dollar signs when he first came in
contact with the warrior, he had no skills and couldn't cut it with the
established boys, when vince found him in memphis wrestling with "sting"
vince sent him and sting to the UWF/WCCW, but he had the perfect body and thats what the fans wanted. 
2- He was wrestling on alot of non tv matches as "The Dingo Warrior" before his Ultimate Warrior persona was created. 
3-
Vince wanted him to be the next "Guy" And made established guys like
Slaughter, Hogan, Rick Rude, Honkey Tonk man, Ted Dibiasi, Andre The
Giant, randy savage and later on his second reincarnation, HHH job to
him. Which led to alot of anomosity. Ted Dibiasi said it made him and
others sick, not from a business point of view, but because he didnt
appreciate what vince was doing. 
4- since he sucked, his matches were generally short, an after
effect was it turned him into this "Mystical" character that couldn't
be beaten, one that vince played upon by allowing him to ramble on
during his mic time. 
 5- Andre the giant had little tolerance for him, and would
give him a closed fisted punch on a few occasions for not follwing
instructions, (as told by bobby the brain)6- Randy Savage is credited for making The Warrior an actuall wrestler, with his patience and constant repetive matches.7-
vince blames his demise on a few factors, him wanting more money than
hogan, his steroid abuse, and aloof nature, missing matches, doing a
half assed job when he was fighting, not being a team player alot of
wrestlers talk about missed spots, or drops on the head. 
noone really "bad mouth's" him, but alot of people expressed
their disapointment, because as they all say, Vince handed him
everything and he threw it away,

 I would say Heenan certainly badmouths him...  And
that Andre thing.....the best part about that story: it's not that
Andre is actually punching him, but holding out a closed fist, and
Warrior would run full speed into them...that's hilarious, and I wish
they had video clips.

I just saw this dvd for the first time, and, yeah, the whole putting a gun to Vince's head at Summerslam thing was pretty much the worst thing I thought, the one part that truely made me drop my jaw was just how blatently Warrior no sold the Pedigree. I'm Triple H before Warrior in my wrestling allegience, and that just disgusted me.

when i was a lot younger in like the early 90s it was a common rumor among friends that the real ultimate warrior had died and been replaced, anyone else remember this?
