Is anyone else watching this footage on all the news channels about a jetblue plane that cannot land properly because it's landing gear won't go down...it's pretty freaky.

the front lading gear burned so brightly because of the rubber and aluminum burning together, rubber and aluminum also happen to be ingredients in solid rocket boosters

They keep saying you can't dump fuel on that type of Airbus for some reason, so they were burning as much fuel as they could while trying to land with a lot of daylight left.

At least that's what MSNBC was saying.

just about ready to book our JetBlue flight in January from JFK to

I get really anxious on planes, so the sleeping pill plus a few drinks
made the flights feel like only 5 minutes.

You better believe that pilot is in for a huge raise from Jet Blue. He personally saved them from Chapter 11.

Some thoughts:

Absolutely perfect landing, right on the centerline.

Scary thought - with Jet Blue's direct TV, people may have been watching CNN and FOx News from their seats.

CNN, idiotic coverage as always. Cannot believe they disrespected Al Haynes like that, plus Paula Zahn asking why they need such a long runway... good grief.

They were watching the news as it was happening. They cut off
Direct TV somewhere 10 to 30 minutes before landing. There's no
fucking way I would be watching it........and not seriously be freaking

that landing gear is strong... i thought it may have folded or bent under the pressure

personally i think they are playing it up a bit too much with the 'perfect landing'... i don't know, it's the guys job and what he's been trained to do. if the landing gear didn't hold up and the belly scraped the ground then there was nothing he could do about it

he did his job well

Apparently its all a matter of how gently you can ease the nose down so the front gear doesn't smack directly into the ground....

Do you really want to fly in a plane called Airbus?

Virtually overlooked was that this kind of incident had happened on Airbus 320s at least four times before. The most recent was in 1999, which resulted in a mandatory airworthiness directive to all airlines operating the aircraft to fix possible faults with O-ring seals in the landing-gear steering module

It's obvious that, both France and Canada, are conspiring to kill Americans. On a side note... I've heard rumors that the most popular female name in France is Rita, and the most popular female name in Canada is Katrina. Coincidence? I think not.

Let's pull out of Iraq, and start bombing Montreal... AT ONCE!!!!
