Im like uber pissed about them just throwing away the Hurley storyline. I mean, theres already Sayid who has no storyline and now Hurley will just be "whiny bitch" i guess. With all that said, I think the show's heating up and i'll be watching religiously (rather than secularly where I play MLB 2K6 during commercials). And I hope Sayid isn't the reason to plane crashed. Something about that might be insensitive. Something....And even though i don't think its purgatory, i think theres something going on with the people dying. Either its because its fits nicely into storylines or theres actually a connection, but everyone seems to resolve something before they die. Which is why, if the spoilers that were just posted are anywhere near true, Locke might die (don't worry people who didn't read those spoliers, they're pretty much madness. But all madness contains a trinket of truth....)

Does anyone have links to screen captures from the Eko dream when all the images were flashing? There must be some clues in there. Update: Okay, never mind, I just went frame by frame through them.  Nothing new, just a lot of shots of Eko's story, Jin in a blindfold (when did that happen?), his brother, the Dharma asian dude, and a girl floating in the water, I suppose that is someone from the start of the series since it seemed to go in order. <img border="0" src="http://img110.imageshack.us/img110/2317/lost7fe.jpg" /> And for anyone playing the ARG here is the newest clue to come out from the Dharma / Hanso websites: <img border="0" src="http://img127.imageshack.us/img127/6686/clipboard022rh.jpg" />

Lost fans will be glad to know that while Libby died on Wednesday night's episode, she won't be forgotten. Executive producer DAMON LINDELOF told TV Guide Online that the character played by CYNTHIA WATROS will still have a place on the ABC hit. Apparently, they're going to explain Libby's mysterious backstory through a series of flashbacks that'll start with the season finale on Wednesday, May 24th and continue through next season. And just in case you were wondering, Watros wasn't happy about Libby's death. Lost creator CARLTON CUSE said, quote, "I think, obviously, people like working on the show. It's not a bad job to be living in Hawaii and working on a successful television series. Truthfully, she did take it kind of hard, which motivated us to help her get another job." As you may know, Watros will be doing a CBS sitcom in the fall.

Did anybody gp tp the other site that the Hanso commercial referenced ?Some play on the word subliminal I think.Maybe Sublymynol.com.My thinking is that all of the hatches are tied to each other and that there is no outside observer.I think the people in thePearl think they are important because they look at everybody and document it, but I bet the tube shoots the notes to another hatch and those people do something with it thinking they are the controllers of the experiment.Not sure how it plays in the overall scheme of the show plus I dont see how the first hatch comes into it because it doesnt appear to have a " supervisory " job.What did you guys make of the text on the print outs ?It wasnt the exact numbers that Locke keys in but I think some of them were there ( 4,16 ).All of the entries on the printout ended in the same 2 numbers.

I don't mean to get off topic here, but I rewatched the first disc of season one again this weekend, and i was just wondering why no one counted claire's baby coming back to life after a day in the list of miracles of locke's legs, rose's cancer, and jin's infertility? (the baby, i think we can assume, died after the crash when she couldn't feel it, and it came back around when jin gave her his sushi)

Looks like Lost next year will do what Prison Break did this year.  Almost two months of new shows, then a three month break!  From TVGuide.com:Are the castaways pulling a Prison Break? Scheduling-wise, it looks that way. In a Tuesday-morning conference call, ABC entertainment president Steve McPherson announced that Lost will launch its third season with seven consecutive new episodes, temporarily cede its time slot to the Taye Diggs mid-season thriller Day Break, and then return for an uninterrupted run in January or early February, Variety reportsEdit: Saw Jin (Daniel Dae Kim) at Ollie's in Times Square yesterday.  He was having lunch, probably just gave an interview across the street at ABC news.

Tonight's episode is "<strike>The</strike>Three Minutes" 1 hourNext Week is the season finale with "Live Together, Die Alone" spoiler: Now that I looked into it a bit more, looks like the resolution won't happen until next week's 2 hour finale. Also We are to learn why the plane crashed and what happens when the button is not pushed, my guess is just what Jack said at the beginning of the season. Nothing happens except that the log in the pearl hatch does keep a record so it's possible to track when it's not being pressed on time. 4 8 15 16 23 42

Makes sense to resolve your big storyline in the season ending.I think something happens if you don't punch the numbers.  It would be too easy for nothing to happen.   I don't think it's the destruction of the island or anything, but I'm going to guess it's something like a hidden door opens somewhere to end the season.

But they ended last season with an open door to an unknown location on the island. I don't think they'd repeat that with such a similar ending. At this point we've seen 4 hatches, another hatch/room/door wouldn't be "mind blowing" like JJ Abrams described.

Here's what I could makeout of next weeks trailer :1) Locke tries to smash the computer2) Some door comes down again and it looks like Eko gets stuck behind it3) Jack, Jin & Sayid get on that boat and Jack breaks into the hatch to get below deck4) It looks like Michael and the Jack/Sawyer/Kate/Hurley group come across what appears to be a whole bunch of those shells that the notebooks were supposed to go into and then sent through the airtube in the Pearl.5) Some inda explosion and Charlie jumps out of the way6) Think I heard the smoke/metal dinosaur sound at one pointAlso noticed on the fake Hanso commerial that they're using another web address. Followyourcompass.com or something. Thats the 3rd different website they've mentioned on that commercial. Each week its been different.I can not stand Michael. I loathe him.

Am I wrong in thinking that Sawyer is a great fucking character? I mean, I think that the actor overdoes it a bit with the scowl all the time, but beyond that, I think his performance is magnificent, like really top drawer stuff.

I'm confused. i missed last nights episode. could someone fill me in?  Michael's flashbacks started back in "Hunting Party" when he grabbed the guns and went off into the jungle to look for Walt. They show some more of the Hatch-Apple II Computer chat from "The 23rd Psalm". It sure does look like Walt was the person on the other computer and he asked his father to come to him. Michael goes off into the jungle and runs across "Pickett" (who is played by that guy who looks kinda like Quentin Tarantino, Michael Bowen. In Kill Bill he was "Buck who likes to fuck" and got his Achilles Tendons slashed by Uma) who knows his name. Mr Friendly shows up and they take Michael with him. Pickett doesn't get to do much in this show, but since Michael Bowen is kinda a name actor, he will probably have a bigger part in the next episode/season.During the standoff in "Hunting Party" when Zeke told them not to cross the line and took their guns, Alex (Danielle Rousseau's daughter from Clarie's flashback in "Maternity Leave") was with the group. She asks Micheal (who was gagged by the others so he couldn't call out to Jack, Sawyer and Locke) about Claire and her baby. Zeke and company take Michael back to their camp (which was pretty much described by Michael during "Two for the Road") A cunty lady* named "Miss Klugh" (or "Ms. Clue") asks Michael a bunch of questions about Walt: <ul><li>"are you his biological father" </li><li>"when did he start talking" </li><li>"did he ever appear somewhere he was not supposed to be" </li><li>"did he have any diseases" </li></ul>Ms Klugh says there was been a development, one of their people have been captured and only Michael can free him. If Michael frees "The Artist Formerly Known as Henry Gale" and brings 4 specific Flight 815 survirors to them They will release Him and Walt. He demands to see Walt. She says he can see Walt for 3 minutes** (or "the minutes" <img src="http://www.ronfez.net/messageboard/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/tongue.gif" border="0" /> ) hense the title of the show. Walt showed up for a little bit. Walt tells Michael that they are having Walt take some "tests" which Ms. Klugh says he is not supposed to talk about she also threatened to put him back in "the room"****, Walt also tells Michael that "they're not who they say they are" which caused Ms. Klugh to demand Walt be taken away.The 4 people on the list are Jack, Kate, Hugo and James Ford (Sawyer) They don't care what he tells them, but they want all those people and no others.Sayid wants to come with Michael (who has told the other 4 people listed that they are going to free Walt) but Michael demands that they do it his way. Sayid knows it's a trap.There is a funeral for Libby and Ana Lucia and a sail boat*** shows just off the beach but too far to see who's on it and then we see: <img src="http://img118.imageshack.us/img118/8292/lostlogo9je.jpg" border="0" />*I call her "cunty" because she just asks her questions like she didn't kidnap this guy's son. And also acts like she doesn't know that he didn't raise Walt and was just reunited with him before the flight. No atomic disintegration for me, please.  I kinda get tired of the redneck/loner bit but I guess thats what he's getting paid to do That's what makes the character stand out from the others, and there are some other great ones as well, don't get me wrong. There is so much more than that to him. He could very easily just sort of devolve into that, like you said redneck, loner, rebel, but through a combination of the great writing and great acting Sawyer is a much deeper, realer, more developed, more human character that is likeable and thus easier to connect with and root for. Like that seen in the Hatch last night with Jack - quick synopsis: Sawyer is sort of broke up about Ana Lucia's death. As he and Jack are preparing the guns to go to war, Sawyer tells Jack that he had sex with Ana Lucia and that's how she got his gun away from him. Jack asks him why he's telling him this, and Sawyer said it's because Jack is the closest thing he has to a friend on the island.Now that scene could have worked out pretty cheesey, but I don't think it did. I really felt for Sawyer in that moment and it was great to see him actually finally open up soem more. It's what you;ve been urging him to do for so long, since Cate's whole, "you want people to hate you" bit. Now next week, he'll probably tell Jack that he would watch him die again, but that's what makes him so interesting.  And the reason they want Sawyer, Cate, Hurley, and Jack is because they are really the only 4 who stand n Locke's way. With them gone, and the new sailboat arriving, the others will show Locke the truth, and he will go on to become the Pirate King of the South Seas.

I don't think you missed much:Jack and Sayid were on their way to the Funeral, Sayid said Michael is not acting like someone who is telling the truth, and that a father will do ANYTHING to save his child.At the funeral Jack says a few words about Ana Lucia, Hurley says a few things about Libby. He's very broken up and during his speech he turns to Michael and says "I'm going with you, dude" (I guess we're not going to see a happy fun loving Hurley for a while)At the funeral Sun sees something just off the beach and everyone turns to see a sail boat coming toward the island.and then: <img src="http://img118.imageshack.us/img118/8292/lostlogo9je.jpg" border="0" />

I can't imagine Michael will be on the show much longer, considering Saiyd and Jack basically know what he did (right?)2. Does anyone else think Charlie is going to die next week, considering he finally presumably redeemed himself this week, and everytime someone does that they die?

I'm not sure I would consider what they did to Michael brainwashing. It was more coercion than anything else.  And can we back the whole big bus up for a second and just discuss the whole Charlie/Claire/Aaron vaccine situation? I mean what the fuck was that about? Okay, I've gotten used to people not discussing shit with each other. Particularly Locke and Jack, but it's been a problem on the island as a whole from the beginning. But the idea that Charlie would just find this shit, start test injecting himself with it and then give it to Claire and the baby without even asking Jack what it is is fucking retarded! This isn't a huge deal breaker as far as my enjoyment of the show is concerned, but it does stretch the limits of the suspension of disbelief a smidge too far over the the limit. Unless I missed something.

I was wondering why Locke wasn't on the list if he's "one of the good ones" Then again, you can't believe anything they say, so maybe he's really bad, and the four people are really good and they want to have all the good people, so the island is completely split between good and evil. Probably not though. 
 
I'm actually beginning to wonder if that wasn't the first time that Sawyer and A-L got their bouncy-bouncy on. 
 
I really wanted Sayid to say to Jack: "Boy, you're just not good at this whole leadership thing, are you?"

Hey Doc.Canadians get the same episode on the same night as the US.  Although...it's on at 7pm. (and again at 8 and again at 9)One thing that really freaked me out when I moved to Toronto was; Canada doesn't have the same networks as the US.    American shows are bought by the networks up here and there is no pattern or system to it.  ER and CSI air on the same channel up here.  And then they air again, later that same night, on another channel.  It's bizarre.

I don't think we know what happened to Desmond Locke and Eko yet. I still don't really get why Locke was so passionate about pushing the buttons and then felt THAT dispirited by the whole Pearl thing. I mean, it was clear something fishy was going on, and I don't get how he couldn't see that it wasn't clear what exactly was going on.

He was the man Kate thought was her father, who worked at the army recruitment office, but it turned out Kate killed her real father, this i believe was early early in the second season.  he also was the commanding officer in charge of sayid's double cross episode in the gulf war.

I'm starting to wonder about the whole redemption thing. I think you could make a solid argument that Boone and Shannon couldn't be redeemed. I don't think Boone could put the whole boning his stepsister thing out, and Shannon was continually anger over nobody listening to her. I don't know about Ana Lucia. 
Libby is a nickname for Elizabeth so I don't think that was a twin. I think it was actually her. 
I also don't think that was Kate's dad. I think that was the twin of the dude who taught Sayid how to torture during the Gulf War. 
A few more questions - what the fuck was up with that bird? And I heard one of the whispers saying the name of some of the people who had been killed.

So was that call to Penny at the end of the show the first view of the outside world post Plane Crash? They haven't shown anything outside of the island except flashbacks that took place before 815 crashed.If Desmond not pushing the button in time was the cause of the plane crashing, what caused it to go off course? They were off course for hours. The magnet was only on for a few seconds; it could cause them to go off course or crash but not both.Why does Tom(Zeke) have to wear a fake beard? If he isn't known by any of the survivors of 815 (or others who end up on the island) then why have a disguse? Isn't the hillbilly clothing enough? What was Miss Klugh's real name? (Tom said it, but I missed it)If 815 wasn't supposed to crash (if it was really caused by Desmond's not being there to push the button in time) then why/how did the others come for the tailes so quickly (Goodwin was there within 10 minutes) They seemed to know about Walt. So was the crash supposed to happen?WTF?Great finale but they really didn't answer that plane crash question. They did show us what happens if the button isn't pressed, but we all figured that out as soon as Jack's key was drawn to the wall during the very first episode this season. And we don't really know what's going to happen to Walt and Michael.

Fog you've got it all wrong.Kate's stepdad and the dude in the hatch are seperate people.Kate's stepdad was a soldier and the other guy was a CIA dude who motivated Sayid to be a torturer.They were both on the truck when they ley Sayid go.The hatch guy was the guy who gave Sayid money when they let him go as they were pulling out of Baghdad.How he got on the island is what needs to be discovered.The Others didnt seem at all perplexed by the flash when Desmond turned the key.Plus Locke lied. The video never says that the other hatch's job is meaningless. Just said they are monitored.Plus I knew, and posted it the other day, that the Pearl was probably as useless as the other hatches.They are all watching each other.Next season will be flashbacks for Desmond ( how he got booted from the army ), the CIA guy ( how he got there. He said he got tired of people following his orders, assuming because he was a torturer, and sought some kinda redemption with the Dharma Initiative ).Why would Michael admit to them that he killed the girls in the hatch ?He didnt even put up much of a fight.How the hell are The Others in charge and what are they doing ?You think they'd be ballsy enough to write out Kate, Jack and Sawyer ?Like maybe we dont find out where they went until the entie show ends ?Maybe still show some flashbacks ?That'd be wierd.

So what, everything that has been going on on the island is what has
happened before the crash but the show that is on is aftter the crash
but only with flashbacks to what the crash survivors were like before
the crash? Is the whole point of the show to be Lost? I sure am. I just
couldn't take anymore after mid-season and just figured either the show
is really complex or I am just too stupid to comprehend it. I go with
the former. I really liked what I saw this season but I would just get
so, um, Lost. It got really frustrating after a while I just didn't
want to invest anymore time in it.Can things and events up to
this point be summed up in a nutshell? I know about oceanic 815, and
there is the "others" who were in the other half of the plane.
Everything else is foggy to me. Am I on the right track with everyone

At first I bought that the plane crash ws caused by Desmond and the magnets, But not when I think of all the connections between the passengers, I dont think it will stand. Desmond causing the plane to crash would be a random act (wrong place at right time). All the flashbacks make me believe that plane was brought there on purpose.

This is a show that breaks the other shows with having to see
it all and remember events that happen cause they connect in normal tv
it's 4 to 6 episode wrap ups of things i dont feel like im being draged
or teased i feel like im being told a good story and im in no rush to
see the end of the book im not going to flip to the back they will tell
everything in the end they know what there dooing it could end up silly but as of 2 years in it's good timesbut one thing i was curious 
first day is sep 22 first season is what 45 days so how many

Locke told Desmond that they were there for 65 days I think (I'll have to watch again to be sure)Looks like that summary I found was fake, but got a few things correct.The last scene was very exciting to me. I really looks like our first look at the outside world after 9/22/2004 (the date of 815's crash) Desmond couldn't get away from the island, while "Fenry Gale" told Michael he couldn't get back to the island once he and Walt left. The outside world still exists! And they put a date on the crash so we have a real time frame to work with. I don't remember the "current" year being mentioned on the show until last night(Well, I guess it was really the first time we saw that print out in "?")I'm not sure why people think Libby isn't Elizabeth. I don't see any indication of twins or clones yet (outside of that book "Bad Twin")

My intense love/hate for this show continues. There was a lot of emphasis on the magnetic properties of the hatch which is all fine & dandy but, it doesn't really explain much of anything.Did the big dharma magnet suck the plane down?  Maybe, but only after the plane was inexplicably off-course for several hours.Didn't the pilot of our plane (while still bleeding in the cockpit) get magically sucked out of the wreckage?  It was never explained or mentioned ever again.Neither was the weird clicky "rollercoaster" noise that we used to hear.Or the shapeless "smoke monster".Or the Polar bear.The importance of Claires baby (who, when still in the womb caused the austrailian psychic to freak the fuck out)and, of course, we still don't know how & why Locke is able to not only walk but, RUN effortlessly.  Etc etc etc.The list continues but, you get the idea.  The FEEL of the show is so good and so unique.  On paper, it's amazing.  But it really only works on a superficial level.  Each INDIVIDUAL episode is great but, if you step back and analyze the WHOLE, it's pretty scattered.  And that's BEFORE you start thinking about everyones interlocking backstories. (I do love that facet of the show, though. It's very well done)I mean, after two years of watching, you should be able to tie up some loose ends.  The best thing that could happen to this show is to schedule the last episode in advance, and just work towards a satisfying climax.

You know how they says magnets have a healing property, thus why some people wear those magnet bracelets? Well, I believe it's the magnet that has caused Locke to be able to walk and for Rose's cancer to go into remission. Now, if that magnet has been destroyed, I wouldn't be surprised to see Locke paralyzed again and Rose gets sick and dies. Of course, being that those two are considered "good people", the Others might help them out. That is my big prediction for next season.

It seems to grab some people while not others (The first time Locke encountered it (in "Walkabout" season 1) we assume it left him alone after a stand down similar to Eko's encounter with it (in "The 23rd Psalm"), but we never saw it so we can't be sure)Of course, we didn't get any answers about that. 1. The island heals people. We don't know why, but I doubt they're going to go into a medical dissertation on the show. 
2. Claire's psychic admitted he was a fraud. He said he just uses information people give him and manipulates them. So what he told her about the baby was most likely bullshit, and someone probably put him up to it. 
3. The pilot got killed by the smoke monster, about which we know precious little except that it kills some people and not others, as was said. 
4. The polar bears are there as some sort of weird experiment to adjust them to tropical temperatures. Dharma does zoological research on the island.

Okay, Do any of you remember the bird from the Finale of Seaon 1? About half way through the very last 2 hour episode (Exodus Part 2) while transporting the dynamite (right before the smoke monster shows up and drags Locke) there was a large bird that appeared. Any connection to the bird from last night's show (Hurley thought said his name)?

May you ARE right about the animal experimentation.  I think they did touch on that once. HOWEVER, the director of the show made such a point to show the polar bear on the cover of Walts book, that we we're obviously lead to believe something supernatural was going on there. And,  it does kinda bother me that they've never seen it, or made mention of it, ever again. The "hostiles" really seem to have a think for Walt.  Why? Why is he so special?  I recall SOMETHING about Walt bringing a bird back to life (or perhaps he killed it) by merely touching it.  That was season one...and again, if he has powers, I'd like a little more explanation. Having said all that, I will be watching next season.  I'm not gonna pretend that I'm too mad to continue watching but, I'm gettin' there. Kinda.

A good point about Sawyer's eyes... but we don't know if he needed reading glasses before he arrived on the island.  He just needs them for reading, which isn't really a severe ailment.  It's more physical ailments that it seems to help: paralyisis, cancer, Jin's balls.  Hurley and Charlie had mental addictions.  The psychic could have been paid off to make sure Claire got on that plane.The electromagnetic pulse that built up reached critical point before Desmond was able to punch in the numbers.  It could have expanded well beyond the island, and catching the plane, tearing it apart.   I think a lot of questions were answered plus there was more to look forward to... an excellent season.

What Furtherman said. I think they've answered a lot of questions, and I think if they went into detail enough to satisfy everyone, the show would lose a little something. 
It was implied that Walt had a bird (which was rare in Australia) fly into the window when his mom and stepdad weren't paying attention to him. There was no ET/Grim Reaper magic touch of life/death.

The scene went like this: Walt was doing his homework about birds, and was trying to but in on his mom and Brian Porter's conversation by talking about cool things about the bird. They weren't paying attention to him at all, and finally told him to leave them alone. A bird flies into the window, killing itself. Brian goes out and checks it out. It's the same sort of bird Walt was reading about. The bird is rare if not non-existant (I can't remember) in Australia, which is where they were at the time. Brian gets incredibly freaked out.

They had an article in the NY Times that says that a lot of next season will deal w/ The Others.Who they are, how they got there, what they are doing, etc ...The writers were saying that they wanted to solve a few things last night because a lot of people were pissed how Season 1 ended.I thought it ended the way a good cliffhanger should.I was worried they'd try and solve too much last night but that wasn tthe case as they posed more questions than they answered.The article also said that they hoped last night's episode will help change the minds of those people who think the island is Purgatory because they showed something that happened in the " real world " after the crash.It said that the flash caused by Desmond is probably what allowed those 2 guys in the plane to see the island and made the island " visible to somebody who may be looking for it ".

"healing properties, but having a weird timestream.  1) Claires
baby is acting in ways that are several months beyond it's actual age.,
2) Walt grew about 7 inches.  3) they establish the plane went
down in Sept. 2004.  The book ( BAD TWIN) in the book flap
confirms this with a publication date of Dec 2005.   4) Upon
meeting The French Woman they tell her it's been 16 years and she seems
extremely surprised at that. It may not
be the island heals but the island is sped up.  Which would
explain why Sawyer would suddenly need reading glasses, but Hurly and
Charlie would still suffer from their addiction.  There are one or
two more things but I'm drawing a blank right now.   Any one else feel my way?

Babies don't really act like "babies" in the sense of
reacting or smiling or having better motor control, for at least 2
months.  In the context of the show it's only been about, what, 2
weeks?I don't have a response for
Rose..............but I still think there is something going on......in
a funny kinda way, with the timeline.  I guess it is possible
that Roussoue lost track of time............but they made a big point
of it.  They did the same thing with Desmond as well.  Also
did you notice on the HANSO CAREERS site that one of the jobs available
is for a therapist?  I guess it's open now that Libby is gone.    Also as an aside..............how long before I get bumped up from "RUDE AND RUDE"?

Summary of spoilers given by Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse: Next season, we will understand the real ramifications of Desmond activating the failsafe and what that did. The central issue of season three will be what did happen. It sounds like Desmond's coming back. They said they want him back, we want to know why he was in prison, we want to know what happened when he turned that key that affected the entire island. That will become very important. The island was visible but only for an instant. It was also visible for an instant on 9/22/04 when the plane crashed. The foot statue represents the history and archeology of the island. Season three will explore what happened on the island before Dharma arrived in the late 70's and who was there. The smoke monster will definitely be back in Season three. There is a good chance we saw the monster this year and didn't realize we were looking at it. By the end of next year we will realize what it was and when we saw it. Why did the Others take Jack, Kate and Sawyer? Where is their home? That will be the story told over the first six episodes. Season 3 will also be about the main characters and their relationships. They want to service the relationships next year more than the mythology. How Locke got in the wheelchair, how Jack got his tattoos will be revealed in Season three. Source: Lost Podcast

The smoke monster will definitely be back in Season three. There is a good chance we saw the monster this year and didn't realize we were looking at it. By the end of next year we will realize what it was and when we saw it. I'm thinking it was that Hurley Bird. It looked like similar CGI was used to create it.

I was thinking maybe it's Kate's horse.  The Hurley Bird was a goof on the viewers who swore the bird said Hurley's name in the Season 1 finale.

This is a muppet news flash:   The folks at TV Guide have gotten their hands on some exclusive scoop about the upcoming seasons of ABC's Lost and Desperate Housewives. If you don't want to know anything that's going to happen, put your fingers in your ears right now and hum. Okay, first Lost. Executive producer CARLTON CUSE told TV Guide the following: --There will be three new characters, two females and one male. Cuse hints that these new characters will be "Others," and that one of the females will be romantic interest for MATTHEW FOX's character, JACK. Cuse also says there will be "several" new romances on the show. --Cuse says JOHN LOCKE, played by TERRY O'QUINN, will be "a very different person" in the new season, so we can assume that he survived the blast in the hatch. --Cuse says that the relationship between the outside world and The Island will be a big part of this new season. As for WALT and MICHAEL, who left the island during the season finale, Cuse says they're "not necessarily" gone forever. And, finally, Cuse says that we'll see "the monster" in the new season, as well as the mysterious polar bear.
