View Full Version : Do you still watch wrestling?

I never thought it would happen, but i've finally hit my wall. I used to be on all the wrestling websites, got every ppv, i have a ton of old tapes, tickets from all the shows i've been too, my dx 69 jersey, bunch of austin shirts, and i NEVER missed raw or smackdown or nitro or thunder...

but i just don't care anymore. i'll watch it if it's on tv but i can only stomach parts at a time. smackdown if pretty unwatchable, i always forget it's on. and raw's just as bad, except for angle who i think even in this horredous stretch is the best wrestler of all time.

am i just getting old, or is it really that bad? the thing is, i never wanted to be those people who got too cool for wrestling or hated it just to hate it. i still give it a chance, it just doesnt' do it for me anymore.

Yeah I used to go every time they were in town, now I turn on Raw
and will be like, "oh shit they're in Boston tonight". I used to watch
all of the weekend shows, now I can't remember the last time I did
that. I pretty much just watch Raw now and rent the PPV's.

Thier is nobody around like Rock or Austin that I care about that much.

8th, 9th, 10th grade... couldn't miss a Monday night, couldn't miss a PPV.

Then WCW and ECW got bought, and I COMPLETELY lost interest. Haven't watched since.

i still watch Raw, but find myself scanning channels more often during it. never watch Smackdown and get about 2 or 3 PPVs a year...including One Night Stand.

Still watch RAW and most PPVS. Gave up and smackdown like 2 years ago.

In 5-10 years when all of the current big names are gone, I'll most likely lose interest.

I still watch Raw, but they will not get a dime out of me for a PPV until Cena is out of the main event picture completely.

Rarely.

It's bad. Has nothing to do with age. It's just a different game now.

I was similar. When Austin was fresh and DX were still together I was renting the PPV every month and catching RAW religiously. Had a couple T-shirts, one poster and a subscription to their mag.

Then it really just tapered off for me. Now the shit is just fucking terrible. I can't stand it. I wish it was good, so I could have fun again with it like I did back then, but it's just bad. I don't have time for it.

I only watch WWE when I'm extremely bored and there is nothing on. Lately all I have been watching is the TNA ImPact online as well as JAPW and ROH

Heck I even watch old FMW DVDs that I have if I wish to see a deathmatch or two...and to see Hayabusa fuck up moves left and right.

 Sadness has returned...worse than before

I just pay attention to the indies, for obvious reasons. I haven't watched an entire WWe show (with the exception of One Night Stand) in ages.

Thanks WWFallon!

I rather run my N64 Wrestlemania 2000 game with my homemade wrestlers than watch the crap they have now.

Oppsss....that's another thread,

I tend to play Smackdown: Here Comes the Pain with created wrestlers(Mainly ROH) and go from there

That is a funny point. I'd MUCH rather turn on whatever PS2 game I had with like 20 created wrestlers than watch the actual show now.

All I follow is New Japan, CMLL and Chikara next year I'm gonna head back down there to revive my career.

But yeah, WWE and TNA are extremely uninteresting, I'm afraid for the future of wrestling honestly.

I used to watch all the time during the hogan era and just kinda lost interest

A friend got me back into it a few years ago and I started watching religiously

but since rock and austin have been gone I usually only watch Raw and only get 2

PPv's a year

Smackdown is unwatchable and if not for getting dvr on my cable I would never watch it

i just fast forward through all the crap and it usually only takes me about 30 mins to

watch the whole episode. Actually lately I've been doing this with Raw as well .

I sometimes would watch TNA but I might check it out more often that I actually can

find it on tv

No because WWE sucks. I'm still a fan though - I follow NJPW and NOAH and am going to ROH for Kobashi vs Joe.
