I finally put together a DVD in tribute to my brother, Ive bured
several copies onto DVD's and I keep running into the same problem. One
of the songs seems to jump, like the disk its self isnt scratched or
anything it just seems this one last song I have on the DVD with the
pictures seems to jump and get all distorted for a while. Now even
though I have about 50 blank DVD's that cost about 20 bucks, I dont
feel like burning 50 copies just to figure out whats wrong with it. Ive
tried adjusting the burn speed to Med, hoping less problems when
burning, that didnt do it. Ive got a few more options that Im not sure
about really. I can change the KBpS rate, its set at 7500, if I reduce
it though wont it lower the quality of video? Could it be that the MP3
bit rate is to high? What am I doing wrong?

I've used Pinnacle 9 and I'm here to tell you that IT'S NOT SOMETHING YOU ARE DOING WRONG.

That software has a "flutter" every once in a while.

One time (at band camp...) there was a slight, but very noticeable, stutter on one of the images towards the end of a project. It wasn't there one day, then the next day....BAM. It appeared in my preview window, and on the mpeg, the avi, the vcd, etc etc.

Bottom line, the software has a glitch. Crap.

PS: lowering the mp3 bitrate would not solve the problem. I suppose you COULD try lowering the data rate to, say, 5000 but, that's only if you are seeing a stutter in the image too. Lemme know if you resolve the issue.
"Jam out with your clam out"
