Musikfest 2005 has begun! Aug 5 - 15.

<p class="MsoNormal"><a target="_blank" href="http://www.musikfest.org/">Musikfest 2005</a> is here and getting underway tonight. Largest free music festival in the country, or something
like that. A week of music and food and
the occasional chicken dance. 10 days,
300 performers, 15 stages, and about a million visitors.</p>




Anyone here even hear of it? If all goes as planned I&rsquo;ll be heading out there tonight and
several other times over the next week.

I used to go every year . . I went to school in Bethlehem.&nbsp; I'm
planning on stopping by next weekend.&nbsp; Good to see the venue isn't
under water anymore ;)<br />

Naw Musikfest sucks now, and it's not going to be free for very much longer. They were going to start charging this year but there was too much public pressure. The wheels are in motion though!

Most of the acts suck, all folk and country, very very few rock. Everything is expensive as shit. Of course you have the pay concerts which are include Clay Aiken, yay shoot me!

I miss the old days, when I was in junior high and the begining of high school. It was so good, lots of rock and cover bands.

In any case, I'll probably be there at some point this weekend because this is Pa and there isn't shit to do.

Yes, this year was to be the first year for charging admission to Mayfair and Musikfest. The prices were in the Morning Call last spring for both. Well, I'm not sure if you went to Mayfair, but that has a charge now, but Musikfest renigged. I think due to the fact that fencing off the entire area is something they don't know how to do yet, and the public pressure, they are waiting off to start charging.

We should put together a RF.net Musikfest night. I think I am going Thursday. Anyone around, drop me a PM.
