The Critic was my favorite show of all time for a long time and was one of those life altering shows. Jay Sherman was a philsopher for our time. If the movie stinks,l just don't go!

Schweet. Pulp Fiction just ended on some movie channel, so I jumped over to Central for Jay Sherman. What a great show. Fox was retarded for only giving it one season.

Ahhh. That's better. I'm not alone in the universe! It's sad that it's the one with Siskel and Ebert. Seeing as Siskel died and all. But Jay is the MAN!
Aaachem!

I enjoy the Critic animated series. You have to love the whimsical, clever, dry wit of what is Jon Lovitz. I can't believe they canceled this show and replaced i with some show like the PJs. Ughh.

In addition Atom Fillms have brand new ONline only episodes of The Critic voiced by Lovitz with the actual writers of the original series.

The Critic as pretty damn good. But I wish Comedy Central would go back to showing the Critic and The Tick back to back. That was two of my favorite animated shows in one hour!

I love The Critic too! I'm glad that i'm not the only one watching late at night. Every time they show Jay Sherman's father acting nuts is great...

Comedy Central stopped making episodes and it just went off like a bunch of other good CC shows. I loved Dr. Katz and a lot of O&A regulars were on that show including Brian Regan, Jim Gaffigan and Adam Ferrara.

I'm not sure if it's the same GVAC, but there's a show animated just like Katz on Adult Swim on Cartoon Network. And if I'm not mistaken, the voice of the kid's Coach is the same as Dr. Katz's son. So it might still have the humnor you liked on Katz. But with the lack of REALLY FUNNY celebrities on a couch, it might suck for you too.
Oh yea, LOVITZ RULZ THE SCHOOL!

Ikeaboy, isn't your quote "Carrot man to Big Apple: I miss my Baby Carrot" from the Critic?
DR KATZ AND HOME MOVIES!!! Holy shit those were the best shows. I liked Ray Romano on Dr Katz before every soccer mom in the country did. He has that close to home, clean humor that made us all fall in love with Brian Regan.

Yes it is, I took it from the episode where Jay is kidnapped.
Home Movies- not that good. Dr. Katz- brilliant.

Thanks for the tip, Moe, I'll definitely give it a look. And as far as Lovitz goes, he earned my undying admiration and respect when he totally stole the show in "A League of Their Own". That guy is hilarious!

Lovitz is one of the few good things in Rat Race (the others being Seth Green and John Cleese who still kicks ass). He was hysterical in that movie.
