There aren’t any Arby’s where I live and I’ve only had Arby’s once in my life and that was about 20 years ago. I didn‘t have a clear recollection of the experience. While traveling recently I passed an Arby’s and the desire to have warm roast beef smothered in cheddar cheese on a nice soft roll was overwhelming. Instead I was served some kind of funky silvery meat-like product with yellow paste. I didn't go in with high expectations, but jeez. How does this place stay in business? Awful.

Toker, you're on Long Island, right? I dont know where you went, but
theres an Arbys on the LIE around Kissena Blvd exit in Queens, and it
real good.

I
actually go out of my way to go there. Its even better than it used to
be. Every fucking thing I've ordered there has been great. The Roast
Beef, the Chicken sandwiches, the curly fries. The Horsey sauce. Its
really the best fast food around. I dont know how they keep that beef
so juicy, and they stack that shit up real high. Its fuckin amazing.
Worth a trip. From DC.

They opened one in my hood, just off the LIE. They are always good.

I liked the Roy Rodgers roast beef better. It was always a gamble to getting one without a vein in the meat. If it was a veinless roast beef sandwich then it was the best thing ever. Off topic I also liked Jack in the Box tacos over Taco Bell.

When the mood hits me, I love Arby's. It's fake roast beef (chopped up and reconstituted like McNuggets), but sometimes it just seems like the best thing in the world. Kind of like school hamburgers... they don't really taste like hamburger, but for some reason they can be delicious.

Where I work has real roast beef, and it's wonderful. For some reason though, about once every two weeks, I go across the street and get the fake Arby's stuff (even though it's twice as much without my discount). Never get the kind with the fake cheese. Get a large with "horsey sauce"... Yes, it's even fake horseraddish. And I LOVE it!!!

is nothing more I love than an endorsement from those ont he board
here. I keep a log of these eateries so when I do go out of town, I
know where to go for a good sandwich.

Down here in Philadelphia,
Old Nick's Original Roast Beef is the best I have ever had. Juicy and
moist it just is so damn tender and good. Especially with the pure
horseradish and sharp provolone. I rewally like the sandwiches "on the
outs" which is where they cut all of the seasoned edges off and give
that to you on your roll. Amazing.

On a side note, Tony Luke's
has the best Roast Pork I have ever eaten. Good good stuff. Especially
witht he Sharp Provolone and broccoli or Spinach Rabe.

I think they just opened one in NYC just not sure where.
