Great game - great to see the colts losing for once - not that I hate the Colts, just always good to see an upset. Lets face it, the Colts will lose this one.  Do ya leave Manning in and risk losing him for the season ? or do you risk his ass in sake of the undefeated record and win today? He's already been rocked a few times. Hey does anyone know if Jen picked SD over the Colts? I think she did. There may be something to her picking wins outright -

The big difference is that Lewis isn't an asshole!  Congrats on your Bengals G!  Being a Charger fan I know all too well what you've been going through.  This time two years ago, the Chargers and Bengals were the two teams with the worst playoff drought in the NFL.  The Bengals were the worst and the Chargers were the second worst until they made it last year.  At least they got those monkeys off their backs, now time for the next step.  I just hope my Bolts don't end up being one of the best teams ever not to make the playoffs.  I mean come on, the Jags fucking suck!  Their schedule was a joke.  Now on to the Chiefs on the road.  This one is gonna be tough too.

Looks like my Chargers not only beat the Colts, but fucked them up too.  Serves Peyton "record books" Manning right!  He's all about numbers and cries/blames everyone but himself whenever any play doesn't work.  Do you really think he has to change the play on every fucking down?  He loves to get the credit for everything, don't believe his fake charm and ideals.  I hate the whole family, unlike the NFL which protects and kisses their asses.  If a finger touches their helmets, "Personal Foul, Hands to the Face!" immediately by the refs.  So now the Colts have Manning nursing a banged up knee, Harrison with a broken bone in his hand, Freeny with an undisclosed injury (knee), and linemen on both sides of the ball banged up due to the last game.  My first hope in football is for my Chargers to win the Superbowl, the second is for Peyton not to and continue in his inability in important games.  And let's be fair here, the Colts didn't beat the Pats yet.  The Colts were at 100% while the Pats had just lost what seemed like their 20 starter.  Now they've got a bunch of guys back and nobody wants to draw them in the playoffs bc of Brady, Teddy, and Coach B.  Fuck the Colts.

Easy H, I thought the tie would mean they were in since it did before.  As it turns out that now the lose to KC is enough to make that tie-breaker a tie and hence it goes to the next tie-breaker which SD loses.  I doubt you had a clue what you were talking about outside of what you were told from tv which wasn't a fact yet when I posted what I did.  Both the SD and Jax games weren't over at that time.  And I never said Houston would beat Jax, it was just hope.  And by the way, Jacksonville sucks and is only in bc of their weak fucking sched!  Fuck them and Marty!

People think that Texas will trade the rights to Bush for that OL guy. That would make sense because they need an NFL O lineman someday. It would be tough to pass Bush up though with all the hype surrounding him. We'll see if the Texas brass has the balls to pull the trigger on a deal like that.

<img height="98" src="http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y206/Curtis2073/Cobra185x207.jpg" width="110" border="0" />The Bucs have put together an amazing season that I'm sure has made Fez proud.How many other teams are in the playoffs after losing their starting QB mid-season?  The Bucs have 3 rookies on offense, LG, TE and RB and a 3rd year QB.  Defense is still one of the best, as is the defensive coordinator and Head Coach.  Although they are too young to be consistant, and I won't bet on them heading into the playoffs, I certainly wouldn't be surprised to see them in the Superbowl again.

Brunell is having a career year and there's nothing more lethal than an experienced QB and coach in the second season.Eli needs to be consistant away from home. Not one of them stands out as a favorite, I cant trust seattle who had 6 of their 13 wins against a shitty nfc west, one of which were to a horrid san fran team that they almost lost to, one to the rams that they almost lost, barely beat the titans, and beat a 2nd and 3rd string colts team, not to mention if jay feely knew how to make a field goal in a pressure situation they would have lost that game as well, i know people will say that almost doesnt count and in the end seattle did win those games but they struggled against teams that they shouldnt have.chicago are similar to seattle in that they played a weak division, went 5-1, the only good teams they faced was cincy and pitt and lost both games, they played shitty detriot and green bay twice, browns ravens, saints,49ers, all were wins against bottom of the league teams, 2 wins against a makeshift vikings team, beat a atlanta team that was no where near last years nfc champ appearance team, yeh they faced a few playoff teams in cincy, pitt, tampa bay, carolina, and the  redskins, going 2-3 against them, so they are also not a team to be fearedgiants, bucs, panthers, and redskins played in tougher divisions where the top three teams (out of 4) finished .500 or better giants and skins had very similar schedules, tampa bay and carolina had similar schedules but the nyg and wash had tougher then tb and carolina point is its wide open and since i am a giants fan i will be biased and say them

Williams was a clueless disaster in Buffalo, and I'm sure the same thing would happen anywhere else he goes. And i think he knows this, and seeing how he can get head coach money and do what he is the best at, he took it. Smart move.

That stinks, it didn't look THAT bad. They were saying the same thing about Culpepper's injury too. It would be a shame to lose both of them in one season.BTW, I don't think Culpepper's injury and how he got it gets enough attention. Two players already tackling him, and one of the Panthers comes in flying right at his knee, no attempt to tackle, just fly shoulder first right at it. One of the diritest hits I've ever seen and not a word from anyone.

What nobody seems to remember about the tuck play was that when Hochuli made his call after viewing the replay, he specifically said "The arm was moving forward." I firmly believe the tuck rule was brought up to distract from the fact that an otherwise excellent ref shit the bed completely.

The Pats lost like the champs they are. They played their asses off,
and the game came down to the bad special teams (two fumbles on kick
returns) and of course the pivotal 100 yard TD INT. Pats score there
and they're in the drivers seat at 13-10. Sooner or later, Vinitieri is
allowed to miss one and Brady will make a mistake. I dont want to hear
about the touchback or the bad PI call. They still could have won the
game, and you have to be able overcome a few mistakes to be champs.

How do the networks not have a camera permanently on the goal line? Every angle to see if the Pats' touchback was poor. I still have sour grapes from the Bucs' game too. ABC only had two angles of the fumble recovered and ran for a touchdown. You would think somebody had to be touching the Skin when he recovered, but you couldn't see either way in their replays.

right, I didn't think about the time outs at the time. Doing a couple
running plays in that spot is fine. Worst case, you figure you'll get a
field goal to put it out of reach, assuming you hold onto the ball.  I'm
glad the Steelers won, if for no other reason the Polamalu INT was
COMPLETELY blown by the refs, AFTER A CHALLENGE. How they blow that
makes me question the integrity of the entire league.

So far in his career Manning has proven he doesn't have what it takes mentally to get to or win a Super Bowl.  I'm sure he calls almost all his own plays and he couldn't read or react to a blitz today. He also has almost zero mobility to elude pressure and buy time or make positive yardage or a first down on his own. During the regular season he gets away with it but when it comes down to playing the best when there is so much more at stake he just does enough to not get it done.

Peyton just can't comprehend the difference between the playoffs and the regular seasonor sometimes he has to tuck it and run for some positive yards. i've never seen him pass the line of scrimmage.  i believe he really doesn't have the full respect of his teammates as being a football player. there was one play that earned John Elway as much respect as all his numbers and that was when he sacraficed his body and leaped head first into two defenders to score a touchdown.then again i don't believe Aikman ever passed the line of scrimmage but he had if not the best offensive line there's ever been...

think its even worse than that, I think the QB, Coach, and the entire
team is SOFT. The Chargers, The Pats the last 2 years, and now the
Steelers have all done the same thing to them. Played more physical
than them, basically punched them in the nose and they had no answer.

Soft teams can win (like the old 49er teams) but I've given up on this Colt group.  Those
old 49er teams were FAR from soft...in 81 they stopped the Bengals four
times on a goal line stand that pretty much won them that Super Bowl
(and Pete Johnson was a heck of a running back) 
And if you think guys like Ronnie Lott (who once famously had
half his pinky finger amputated so he wouldn't miss a game), Bill
Romanowski, Hacksaw Jack Reynods (who once sawed his own car in half),
Dwight Hicks, Charles Haley et al are soft....I don't know what to tell
you...Soft teams don't win titles....and those 49er teams weren't soft just because their offense was so innovative...

the exception of passing for a country mile, putting up 70+ points and
then signing autographs in the stands by the 3rd quarter against lowly
Mahwah (of which Snoogans was a star defensive back for)!!  I
guess the question remains Shaun, Did you get your helmet signed after

I woulda played against him in basketball too, but the starters werent hurt. I was only a sophmore when he was a SR and our starting SS and CB collided in practice and both got hurt. So me and another sophmore had to start on Gallo's side of the field. And our coach was stubborn so he left us on gallo's side instead of matchin up the other starter wherever he went. The whole day just pissed me off, ESPECIALLY when the prick started signing shit before the fuckin game was even over. Real class, and way to say something Phil...oh thats right, amazing football dad wasnt even at the game.

They were finesse because they threw the ball more than they ran it?Should
it really be a knock on them that they were the innovators and
beneficiaries of the second-greatest offensive scheme ever devised (the
West Coast offense...which featured a lot more running the ball than
people think) Go look how many times they led the league in rushing in the 80s or were at least top 10....it might surprise you...

not a knock, its a different way to win. Some teams emphasize power,
ball control, defense (smashmouth). Other emphasize speed, passing,
offense (west coast). Other teams are combos of the two or dont fit
either category, like the 2003 Bucs. Look at a list of all the Super
Bowl champs, alot of different formulas for winning.  I think Ali said it best in a pre-fight interview before he fought George Foreman

I mean is, there is no "unstoppable" offense in the NFL....when you
have the personnel that can execute the Triple Option on a pretty
routine basis, its unstoppable....
