Very brave posting this friend! haha!Life long Skins fan here, but have been disconnected almost from the day they renamed The Big Jack "FedEx Field" and Snyder began charging $10 to see them practice. They always bring me so much hope as the season starts, but by October the writing seems to be on the wall - finally by November I can begin to enjoy the rest of the football season, all asperations of getting to the playoffs dashed. Of course, this is the modern day NFL and things change from season to season, sometimes within the season...so, who knows.I'm going to do an optimistic 9-7, but I think they just miss the playoffs.

There really is nothing like this town when the Skins are winning...Saw at least every other person that came in the store today wearing redskin stuff...even Mr. Tony was talking about maybe gassing up the Bandwagon again if things keep going well...For those of you who don't know, the Bandwagon is a piece of Washington sports lore...Mr. Tony, back in 1991, when the Redskins were not only the best team in the NFL that year, but one of the best in history...who no one ever talks about...Number 1 offense (one of the highest scoring ever), number 1 defense, just annihalated everybody...i remember they pummeled Detroit like 45-0 on opening day and never really looked back...they lost one game to the Cowboys, 14-13 I believe, and on the last game to Philly, cause they didn't play any of the starters...Well Mr. Tony started the Redskins "Bandwagon" and every week would write these hilarious columns about it.  It got to be pretty big...the Post even put out "Skins Bandwagon" bumperstickers, some of which you can still see today on the roads, remarkably...it eventually got so big that Mr. Tony drove a "bandwagon" to Minnesota (he doesn't fly) for the Super Bowl that year...it was un be weev able...This town goes nuts when the Skins are good...i was still a lil kid at the time but I remember it very clearly....

Close this thread they suck....they have played no one, there offense is dispicable, and the will not be above .500 this year.  The two touchdowns late against Dallas meant Dick.  Dallas's secondary is so bad Tim Rettae looked like fucking Joe Montana.

To Tony's defense, he has often been reluctant to "gas up" the bandwagon since '92. Why do people bring up such idiotic things like barely won such and such game.  In the NFL Dumbass there is no category for close wins only wins whether you win by 1 or 21 it counts the same.And the Redskins didn't barely beat the Bears, the redskins flat out outplayed the Bears on opening day and if not for a fumble on the kickoff of the second half the game would have been a shut out.And yeah the redskins held the seahawks to 17 points, Shaun Alexander scored 24 points himself the week before.  The redskins D is legit no if ands or buts.And yeah they play San Diego and where is that game oh yeah in DC on November 27th so i am sure the game will be similar to the one the giants played in sunny San Diego.God i hate idiots

yes we all know that they dont have a close wins category and that a win is a winno matter how much or how little the win is but...the win differential is significant because any team could win a few games by barely beating the opponent and people will think they are better then theyreally are,and conversley  a team could lose a few close games and people will think they are worse then they really are whereas a team that just dominates you and winsby double digits there is no doubt that they are a good team worthy of the praisebut this is just my opinion and since you are the knowledged one I guess i'lljust kneel down and bow to your greatness

I stopped listening to the radio broadcasts when they got rid of Herzog....They used to be so great, I'd turn down the TV and listen to them...It was a family tradition, but now since he's gone and replaced by that awful other guy, i'm now forced to deal with the dopes on Fox...I miss those daysPlus there was always some high unintentional comedy when they would plug the Charlestown races slots and Sam and Sonny would start singing "Camptown Races", or Sam and Sonny would start screaming at each other about something...

The Redskins have won more games than the Eagles.  That being said, Notice how Ron likes to rag the Skins when they lose?But when they WIN - nothing is mentioned. Skins OWN the NFL NY, Dallas, Philly will find that out real soon.

Oh by the way CF, the first time I picked the Skins to lose (or even cared to pick for their game) was last week.  It was a close game just as I guessed.  Yes I picked the Bucs and they should have won but didn't.  This week I had no doubt, and they did lose even though they didn't have to defend against Alexander this time (NFL's MVP).  Also, I never said Seattle had a harder schedule then Washington.  I simply stated that Washington had very little significant wins on the road.  Big fucking difference stupid!  Especially since this week against Seattle they were on the road against a vet QB.  Sounds quite in here huh?  I've been saying for a long time that the Skins division in the NFC was the toughest by a long shot.  As well, Seattle's was the easiest.  However, Seattle had biggie road wins and how many in a row?  A lot.  Yet no division in football was tougher then the AFC West.  And I truly believe that almost any AFC contender could win the NFC this year.  Now stop being an ass and trying to act like everyone hates the skins.  Perhaps they only hate them after they talk to you.  Curtoid never brings out the hate like this.  I guess it seems like this is a great skill of yours.  Go Skins!  (to the golf club with my Chargers)  ** Who won that game by the way??

Looks quiet in here, what a surprise.  Most true fans dissect their team's loss and are up for discussions about it.  Yet I guess that's kind of tough when you act like an ass huh CF?  It shows how retarded you really are for believing the Skins were that good.  They won't even make the playoffs next year.  Check the Bears thread in order to see how normal fans root for their teams and discuss the season.  Hell, even the NFL has a commercial out which clearly displays some of my points with the Bears fan talking at the bar about how sure he loves his team, but they'll be lucky to get three wins this year.  I love that whole ad.  Also, I did a little research on my picks in the R/F pick'em league since you claim I've been a Skins hater all year even though you just converted me last week.  I actually picked the Skins to win 4 times out of the last 6 weeks in the regular season.  I correctly picked them to lose to my Chargers in week 12 and almost picked a big upset (but didn't) in week 14 when Washington just beat my pick Arizona (17-13) on the road.  So for weeks 13, 15, 16 and 17 I actually chose the Skins and was right stupid.  So much for your hater claim (although it's true now) and the cute broken record insinuation.  Now back to making bad fake radio......whatever the fuck that is???  Perhaps you could land another exclusive Crazy Jen interview, or Jerry from Mars?  Oh, I'll be sure to fake tune in.
