Hey all,

If it's ok with the admins, I Just wanted to post the super-detailed press release for our show this Saturday night (7/16/05) since it's different than the WORLD WIDE thread.

Jersey All Pro Wrestling presents "GORED!" on July 16th at the Rahway Recreation Center, located at 275 East Milton Avenue in Rahway, NJ with an 8:00 pm belltime.

Matches scheduled for "GORED!"

THE SANDMAN'S OPEN CHALLENGE HAS BEEN ANSWERED

The Sandman takes on Rhyno, a rematch 4 years in the making!

January 7th, 2001, a day that was long remembered by ECW fans.

In what would be ECW's final Pay-Per View before its 4 year demise and resurrection, the Sandman stood triumphant in the middle of the ring at the Hammerstein Ballroom as the newly crowned ECW Heavyweight champion, having defeated Steve Corino in a bloody battle for the title.

The celebration would be short lived, as minutes later, what would have been one of the greatest moments in the Sandman?s legendary career was cut short at the hands of Corino's former charge, the "Man Beast" known as Rhino.

After decimating Sandman's Wife, Lori Fullington by piledriving her thru a ringside table, Rhino and Sandman locked up for an impromptu Title match. Already bruised and battered from his war with Corino, Sandman fell to Rhino's Gore, and for the second time in one night, ECW had a new Heavyweight champion.

And then, ECW collapsed under its own weight. Rhino was known as the final ECW champion. The rematch for the title never happened.

For some ECW stars like Rhino, the WWE picked them up and turned them into shadows of themselves, not allowing them to cut loose like ECW did. Rhino became Rhyno, a kindler, gentler Man Beast, and languished within the WWE's political structure until his eventual release earlier this year.

For others like the Sandman, it was a return to Indy wrestling, where a wrestler of Sandman's brutal nature could continue to wreak havoc and think about what was taken away from them when ECW closed it?s doors, a place to plot their revenge.

Recently, with the WWE's revival of ECW on Pay-Per View, ECW stars again have the chance to shine again in the spotlight that was once theirs, in the style that ECW was known for.

4 and a half years is a long time... A lot of time to think about what was taken away with ECW gone. A lot of time for Sandman to reflect on what was taken from him on that Cold January evening in New York City.

Finally, the two men who fought for the ECW title on that PPV will meet again one on one. This time in the middle of a Jersey All-Pro Wrestling Ring.

There will be no holding back, no politics, no rules. Just 2 men with 4 and a half years worth of animosity between them. And while the ECW title is not on the line...both men's pride is.

And what role will Steve Corino play in this? After all, Sandman defeated him that night for the belt, and Rhino was his former charge. Will Corino be looking for an ally in his bid for the JAPW heavyweight Title?

Only one way to find out. Be there for The Sandman Vs. Rhino

Only at Jersey All-Pro Wrestling, Saturday July 16th, Rahway NJ. 8pm Bell time.

And that's just a part of this action packed lineup.

Also in action that night:

JAPW Heavyweight Champion, Jay Lethal and His Father Take on Steve Corino and Ricky Landell.

This "family affair" came about when Corino and Landell crossed the line last month when they handcuffed Jay Lethal and brutalized his father while Jay could do nothing but look on. Now the cuffs are off and the Lethal family plan on living up to their name!

Jay Lethal's father also has contacted JAPW management seeking contact information for a well known wrestling personality. This personality may or may not be already in attendance at JAPW that night.

Poppa Lethal said he was a very huge fan of this superstar and would like to talk to him about possibly being in his corner this Saturday night in Rahway, NJ as he teams up with his son,

Unfortuntely The Sandman and Teddy Hart didnt show, but one question remains....How can Charlie Haas come to JAP....doesnt he have that 90 day no compete clause?

The 90 Day No Compete Clause is only in effect when a wrestler has been fired. In this case, Charlie Haas among the others were released from their contracts and can now work anywhere. It was so great to see him come back to where he started. Charlie Haas is the future king of the independents.
