Bill Hicks. I just don't get it. I mean, he has some funny material,
he's better than average, but when people mention him in the same
breath as Richard Pryor and Lenny Bruce, I dunno, I just scratch my
head.
The only time I've laughed at him was when he was doing his Walken, and can I really count that? He's reminding me how bizzare Walken is and covering very little new ground. I remember part of his act I saw on TV was just recounting a story he had about talking to Walken on a movie set.

Fuck off Mohr.

I HAAAAAAATE Jim Breuer. And really any other sort of "stoner" comic. There's nothing really inherently funny about using marijuana. Heroin and cocaine, yes, but not smoking a joint. Breuer did have some funny O&A moments though.
I love Brian Regan and all, but when's the last time he came up with a
new bit? When I first listened to him, I thought he'd get a tv
deal easy.

And that's the end of my show.. donk.

I can honestly say I've never laughed at a thing Robin Williams has said or done. That whole manic act just annoys the living shit out of me.
PS - Ron White is the only funny guy from the Blue Collar tour. He kills me.

And I, too, hate Jeff Foxworthy, though I thought he was brilliant when I was 16.

Kevin Nealon is a good partner or straight man, Seinfeld did well primarily because of the supporting cast and Larry David's writing, but that show is a matter of preference.

But as far as George Lopez and Foxworthy (and the other Blue Collar crew) are concerned, it's a scientific fact that they suck the donkey's balls.

quote: Yeah, "Carlin at Carnegie" and "Carlin on Campus" were probably his best work. But there is alot of great stuff before and after.
My brand spankin new site Bully Baby Do Siamese twins have to file seperate tax returns? I still have that album almost solely based on "I pray to Joe Pesci because he seems like a guy who could get things done" alone. "Back In Town" is his last really good full album). Everything before is too corny and schticky (yeah, at the time, great, I'm sure, but it's dated horribly, unlike a lot of Prior's stuff), and everything after is too bitter and rant-y without any real attempts at humor...just begging for applause from a devoted audience. He's no better than Dennis Miller at this point, just minus the buck-fifty vocabulary.

Which brings me to my pick for "unfunny guy that too many people seem to like"...

NEVER was funny. I loathed him on "Weekend Update" when he was on SNL, and everything since has been a big yawn. And speaking of doing the new on SNL...Norm MacDonald cracked me up on SNL and in most of his movies, but his actual standup is hideous.

It's like he's just trying to impress...the references add nothing to the jokes that a much more "common" reference wouldn't do just as well.

A guy that, in my opinion, pulls off the "college education" humor stuff is Eddie Izzard. The historical references he uses actually ADD to the humor as opposed to just dressing it up to sound fancy.
