I didn't watch the 3rd season. Miz & Morrison won it (I just knew it was 2 guys that season.?

The Boogeyman wasn't a "winner" as I understand it. Didn't he try out & they sent him to OVW when they got his real age?

I should have worded it better. I meant the female TE winners (Jackie, Nidia, & Linda or whatever her name is). For the pushes they got, they seemed to drop into obscurity relatively quick. I know Jackie was in TNA a while, but anyone know what became of the other 2?

it wsnt miz and morrison that won

it was morrison and matt capotelli, capotelli was ovw hwyweight champ but had a med condition that made him leave wrestling

miz was part of the last tough enough that was on smackdown only and not mtv, and he didnt even win, daniel puder did, but they obviously gave him a contract

there is a chance of that. But "The King of the Clothesline" Chris Harris/Braden Walker did remind me of Charlie Haas, being that he never got any crowd reaction.

James Storms got a good angle going with the "Beer Money" Tag Team right now. Harris coming back as a single star might not make it with all the competition in the singles division right now.

We all feared the day Richards would be finally let go. Now that's it here, what are we to do but wait for some independent promotion to pick him up and capitalize on it? As for the rest, it seems to be a continuing trend on behalf of the creative team that if they don't have anything left for underdeveloped talents then they should just let them go.

Super Crazy is the latest to be future-endeavored.

While the E said the release occured today, Wrestling Observer states he actually quit last week:

It came out of nowhere, and he was said to be unhappy with his status in the company. He's been been promised pushes a number of times, but they've never materialized.

Senior Vice President of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis didn't take the news too well. Laurinaitis told Islas, "Do you know how many wrestlers in Mexico want to be here?"

Islas was telling friends that despite his low-level position with the company, he was happy with the pay, but unhappy with his job.

Crazy is eligible to collect three months of pay without working due to the non-compete clause, but he's willing to waive it because he simply wants to wrestle to the best of his ability. If he waives the non-compete clause, he is still not able to go to TNA for 90 days, but that's probably not his goal anyway.

London's had heat with Vince since Day 1...not really sure exactly for what. I know they banned him from doing the shooting star and he was very vocal in his displeasure. He also had heat for the goofy look he had on his face in the "vince blows up in the limo" angle.

Dykstra had a real attitude problem which was why he was never given a chance. I do think its really lame what they did to the Spirit Squad in the first place though.

Apparently, banging someone with clout (Mickie James) doesn't help you anymore either.

Burke is another sad case...that guy could connect with crowds in OVW and showed absolutely none of it in the E. Funny how that seems to happen a lot.

That guy was great on the mic. With the amount of wrestlers the WWE currently has that cant cut a promo to save their life (Hello Mike Knox!) they couldve really used a guy with his talents.

Mistake on WWE's part in my opinion.

I wonder if they are ever gonna realize just how valuable good promos are. Because with the exception of Santino, HBK and a few others their promos have pretty much sucked camel balls since they instituted this policy of forcing wrestlers to read scripted promos word for word.

It's not like there's never been a precedent for keeping people employed to keep a star happy. And let's face it, aside from Beth Phoenix, Mickie James IS the women's division.

Although these days, Vince seems more apt to release people just to screw with them b/c of his God complex (Kristal Marshall, separating couples on different brands etc) so maybe its different now.

But if they aren't together, then I guess it doesn't matter either way.

No new roster cuts (as of yet), but:

PWInsider.com is reporting that some major layoffs have taken place at the Titan offices in Stamford, CT today, and the number appears to be close to 10% of the staff. The releases will effect members of WWE.com as well, however we cannot confirm at this tine who exactly has been laid-off. The releases were due to the ongoing economic situation that most businesses including WWE currently find themselves in.

Actually, I stand corrected. Referee Keenan (or Kevin) Quinn was fired as well, due to budget cuts. His indy claim to fame:

Quinn is probably most famous for telling wrestlers "You Know What's Coming Dickface" during his stint as an indy wrestler. Keenan was fond of saying "You Know What's Coming Dickface" before he would hit a 20 pound leg lariat on his opponent.

The reason they're doing that is because there will now be one set of referees instead of different sets for each brand. I'm not sure why WWE insists on taking away uniqueness from each brand, even if it's just subtle things like that. You want to make an exciting product? You can make it three different ways because you have three different brands! Mix it up a little on each show, do something different...actually, this will turn into a rant that's best saved for a full new topic post.

Here's an updated list of this week's casualties:

- 10% of WWE's 600 person office staff, including several longtime managers as well as members of WWE's television production and WWE.com divisions.

- Superstars D-Lo Brown, Bam Neely, Val Venis and Kevin Fertig.

- Agent and former referee Tim White

- Referees Jimmy Korderas, Mike Posey and Kevin Keenan

- Developmental stars Gavin Spears and Mike Kruel

- Vince McMahon's 2 limo drivers

That last was long overdue... you let a limo get blown up with your boss in it, you're bound to eventually face repercussions.

She was promoted to Senior Vice President of Creative Writing in 2006.[2] She oversees the hiring of scriptwriters, supervises the writing team, and is involved in the long-term booking of WWE. According to a WWE SEC filing in March 2008, McMahon's approximate salary in 2007 was $677,125

With the way things are going with the ratings and storylines I think I found some money to keep Jimmy Kordaras around.

Wow, what an unreal fall. Had no business being in the legacy, but that was a fast fall.

The Bezerker samoan notion is interesting. I mean, Rikishi and the Rock(and Fatu the positive choice rapper before Rikishi) were some of that evolution, but someone mentioned following about about the mouthpiece angle for Manu, and they could do a LOT with that.

Or go Bezerker route and have Samoa Joe come in as some Samoan Uncle Tom.

On March 20, 2008, Anoa’i was suspended by WWE for violating the company’s Wellness Policy. Reportedly, he attempted to cheat on a WWE drug test through the aid of a prosthetic penis. He was caught and as a result, suspended. Soon after, company officials adopted a policy for all talent to drop their pants to their ankles in front of the assigned doctor when taking a urine sample.

He sucked anyway. As far as his promos went, all he could fucking do was make mean faces and breathe heavy. If youre gonna give Umaga a mouthpiece again, bring back Estrada. That guy was at least entertaining to watch. Where the fuck has he been?

true, just hire Hosp and get it over with.

Dude, I'd kill for the book, and I have ideas that would elevate everyone's game.

#1) Bring back the ECW TV title and give it some play among the cruiserweights and raw and smackdown jobbers. Jamie Noble alone would make it fucking exciting, and you don't limit it to just cruiserweights. Scotty Goldman has fans out there, but would NEVER be in contention for a major title, Charlie Haas too. And it never has to be defended on a single PPV. Plus ECW is so limited with it's talent it would give you a reason to bring some other people in every now and then.

2)Unify the tag belts, you don't have enough teams anywhere to justify 2 sets, and since you have Miz and Morison showing up everywhere already it will give you a little more play and you'll have like 7 teams in contention all together instead of 3 per brand (and I'd keep tag matches off of ECW entirely).

3)Missed the boat with having MVP stop his losing streak already, I would have had Kozlov mock him in the back for not being able to win while he was still unpinned, and then have the program where they are interfering in each other's matches leading up to MVP getting the pin on him at Wrestlemania.

4)Keep the long term veterans out of programs with the Undertaker leading up to Wrestlemania. Ending his streak is a rub someone on the rise can use, and JBL and Michaels have nothing to really gain from it, and I don't see Taker wanting to give it up to either of them.

5)I want Santino as Raw GM just for the fact that he is 100 times better on the mic then in the ring. I would like to see him being bullied and manipulated into decisions, yet somehow maintaining his arrogance. Plus he then can have interaction with the Upper card wrestlers and never have to get into a match where he is dominated (except for the occasional come uppence match).

I honestly think I could have people interested again

The only time I ever laughed at boogeyman was when he was in the foley court segment and he was acting crazy and they showed foley eating a moonpie. Eh, I guess I never laughed at him.

Some firings are well deserved, nobody misses Hardcore Holly and nobody will miss the Boogeyman. I'm more upset about Scotty Goldman, not only did he have his own WWE.com show, they renamed the show to Good as Goldman the day before they let him go.

Maybe we should actually get a crew together, do a presentation, take over the book...

I work cheap.

Once Cena was looking for someone I believe and Boogie man popped out and made me giggle. Other than that I am glad he is gone. His entrance took longer than his matches. In all honesty though it was a nice story a 40 year old guy takes a chance and makes it to the wwe.

I have a friend that is/was a promoter, and I've brought up running shows at the Hard Rock to Johnny, I could probably pull it together.

Most of them are innocuous. There are some that cross the line. Not blaming you on this one.

I asked Jon if there was a way they could be turned off... I was told no.

I am shocked that lego boy actualy answered, but i am not shocked he said no. Why would he ever help with anything, or do anything posative that does not make him money.. That would be gay.

I've seen him work comedy matches and I've seen him go full on technical. Maybe if they had paired him up with CM Punk again it would have done something for him.

I think some of the "hollywood" writers probably heard a wrestler say kayfabe and asked them some questions, got enamored by wrestling's connections to the carnival, and came up with the character. They probably should worry more about people with talent and not people who fit a character.

According to www.gerweck.net you can now add Mr. Kennedy to the 'future endeavors' list.

Up at wwe.com here: http://www.wwe.com/inside/industrynews/kennedyreleased

He was injured during his return match on Monday and I guess that was just one too many.

Good. He stunk. All he had was a fancy way to say his name, he couldn't stay healthy to make any kind of decent run, and the investment they made in him was never returned. Any time he grabbed that microphone it was grating, not because he was cutting a heal promo and it annoyed me, but he had absolutely nothing to say.

could this whole injury scenario be a hoax by the WWE?
on their website it says..

"World Wrestling Entertainment has come to terms on the release of Raw Superstar Mr. Kennedy (Ken Kennedy) as of today, May, 29 2009. WWE wishes Ken the best in all future endeavors."

Why would they list his wrestling name in parenthesis instead of his real name (like they do for EVERY wrestler).

keeping it kayfabe?
