Who's the better AC/DC lead singer, Bon Scott or Brian Johnson?

I say Brian. I liked Bon's cartoonish voice and over the top style, but
Brian Johnsons voice is the wildest thing I've ever heard.

Bon, however was a much better songwriter. Had a good sense of humor.

Brians lyrics are usually just crap, but I love his voice.

I'm a HUGE AC/DC fan and I respect Brian enormously, but the Bon Scott - era version of the band will always be my favorite. Bon was an original, and with him, the band boogied.

I actually like them both, but I didn't want to choose that option. To me, Bon Scott was much better. Plus, he was far more intelligible.

My only regret is never seeing Bon in concert. I didn't become a fan until Back in Black so I missed that whole era. I've seen AC/DC twice with Brian Johnson and they were good, but I have a feeling I missed something great.

Sorry Brian, but Bon is still the fucking man. He lived the lifestyle. He died by the lifestyle. He was gonna be a Rock and Roll singer if it killed him, and it did. He had the Devil in his blood, Tellin' him what to do...

And he was all ears.

Bon...no contest.

And his early death spared us the shame of hearing his voice turn to shit like Brian's has.

Hell Yeah Bag Pipes!

Two reasons why I love that song; one, the lyrics say it all, and two, you have a band that throws in bag pipes, and it works. Not only works, but rocks.

The Bonfire Box set is a Must. Worth it for the Live from Atlantic Studios disc alone.

He doesn't stand out that much, but he perfectly compliments the music. I was trying to play this flash drum style that wasn't complimenting our music. Just keeping the beat and the groove going is way more important that throwing in another huge drum roll or accent. My band an I talk about this all the time because it's something I had to learn.
AC/DC - not a big fan. I like both the same. Back in Black is a great album.

So is Highway to Hell.

Either way, AC/DC has the absolute tightest and best rythm section in rock & roll.

Is Ac/Dc doing another record with Mutt Lange? That was a rumor a few months ago but, I think that was because he remixed some tracks for Ac/Dc re-releases. Anyone know who's producing their next record??

For the hard core ACDC fans, check out Brian Johnson's original band "Geordie".

You can find some songs on limewire, bearshare, etc.

Its
basically garage band crap music, but BJ sings straight for the most
part, with his regular voice. With an occasional scream here and there.

Apparently, he must've auditioned for ACDC, and they told him sing the everything with his "scream" voice.

BTW-How can Bon be better? He ended Highway to Hell by saying "Shoz-bot. Nanu nanu"

My favorite Bon song (Night Prowler a close second)

Gimme A Bullet lyrics

Artist: AC/DC
Album: Powerage

She had the word
Had the way
The way of letting me know [the way of letting you know]
She knew the game
Called the play
Oh she hit me low
She said, "Now you go your way
I'll go mine
And that's a start"
Doctor, doctor
Ain't no cure
For the pain in my heart

CHORUS:
Gimme a bullet to bite on
Something to chew
Gimme a bullet to bite on
And I'll make believe
I'll make believe it's you

Don't need no drink
Don't need no drug
Don't need no sympathy
Sooner or later
Send me a bill
For what she's doing to me
Operator
Long distance lips
On the telephone
Come tomorrow
Come to grips
With me all alone [with being all alone]

CHORUS

Bullet to bite on

Wanna tell you a story
'Bout a woman I know
When it comes to lovin'
Oh, she steals the show
She ain't exactly pretty
She ain't exaclty small
42-39-56
You could say she's got it ALLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!

Never had a woman, never had a woman like you
Doin' all the things, doin' all the things you do
Ain't no fairy story
Ain't no skin-and-bones
But you give all you got, weighin' in at nineteen stone

You're a whole lotta woman
A whole lotta woman
I gotta whole lotta Rosie
A whole lotta Rosie
A whole lotta Rosie
I gotta whole lotta woman, yeah-yeah-yeah

Honey, you can do, do it to me all night long
Only one can turn, only one can turn me on
All through the night-time
Right around the clock
To my suprise, Rosie never stops

You're a whole lotta woman
A whole lotta woman
I gotta whole lotta Rosie
