O&A briefly talked about this today, though I'm curious, there are lots of ways that people refer to their grand mothers. Some say "My Nanna" or "My Gammie" or just plain "Granny" - How do you refer to your grand mother? Also do you have a favorite grand mother, or none at all (by that I mean you never knew yours perhaps, I've only known one grand mother on my dad's side).

I'm always amazed how many non-Italians use "Nana" and "Papa", both of which are Italian words.

I guess its become American-ized. Like alot of German and French words.

My grandma is either grandma, or my grandmother. I only refer to her as my grandmother when talking about her to others. Addressing her, she's GRANDMA.
