did you listen to diaz, whatley, bennington at 95ynf and/or wjrr? what i want to know is this: are bennington and whatley worth listening to? i
think there's somewhere i can download their material to my ipod, but
if it doesn' stack up to the old days, i won't even bother. so i'm looking for your take on the show. thanks!

Whoa whoa whoa i think everyone is going overboard.This guy is a new member here and he is just attempting to class us up a bit.  Let's take it easy, i mean isn't it common practice to be new somewhere and come in and insult people right away.  My guess is this guy is a big time executive used to getting his way dare i say it is Riddick an aka for Donald Trump?And he obviously knows alot about us by stating that we are merely trying to up our post counts (like they matter for anything).  The sad thing is this loser is probably going on vacation for a while.  So lets enjoy his tidbits/knowledge/general criticism like the men and women this guy thinks we pretend to be

YNF.  It was the best thing going!  I don't think you can
compare the old show with R&F.  There was a very different
dynamic with Diaz.  The feel was that R&R kept each other in
check.  I don't know if you can understand what I mean unless
there is some way for you to listen to the old shows, but the common
thread is Ron B.'s humor and "realness".  Fez is the same and has
always been the one listeners could count on for a return e-mail or
response of some sort.  He was a lesser part of the show with
R&R, but not by much.  Another difference is that Ron B. had
many comedian friends stop by and this was always a riot.  He
wasn't the "recovering Ron" so I think he was like most of us in the
80's in South Florida...partying!  I think they even got stoned on
a show if I remember right.My advice is listen to the show, if
you haven't already.  I am still in Florida and can only
download.  I would absolutely listen if I could. Later </div>

to jump in so late, I just signed up yesterday. After WYNF, R&R
jumped to WSUN in St. Petersburg, FL. It was there where they started
being syndicated throughout the southeast. I don't remember the
whole crew getting high on the show, but one morning Fez was eating pot
brownies and that show was hilarious.

Mahabone, Brother...  Listened faithfully back in the glory days, and not a day goes by that I don't shed a tear for Ron and Ron. I download alot of the archive stuff, and sure, they are hilarioous and somewhat reminiscent of the old days. But Please... These haters have no Idea how it was back in the day. As much as they love their R and F, to the point that they can't imagine it could ever be better, thus their anger at your suggestion... the truth is... People like you and I know that the greatest radio in the history of the world is behind us. And if you asked Bennngton and Fez Marie they would tell you that. It's not that Diaz was that wonderful... he is very average now on his own... It's just that the chemistry between the Rons back when they were civil, and Fez was the ultimate 3rd mike... Then you throw in Fast eddie, Flipper, Malibu Moe, Parody Guy, Paul-o getting the Thug Life tattoo on his belly... lol... he was like no radio character you ever heard of...The live gigs, OMG, those were crazy times. I was like, 13 and listened on WJRR Orlando every day. Recorded on tape and listened when I got home from school... so maybe I was just impressionable... Man I miss those days. After they went to 93.1 the crow in daytona as the first version of Ron and Fez, I listened 'cause I needed my fix... but even then I knew the good old days would never return. So maybe I am uniquely qualified to answer your question better than many here... Is it like it was? Of course not! But is it still better than 99% of the bunk on radio, Of course! Where else can you hear 2 thirds of the greatest radio show in the history of the world?SeeYa!!(BTW) Jefe is obviously so Bennington influenced. He is now half of the hideout here in orlando on weeknights. It's pretty cool because the show is like the grandchild of the Ron and Ron show IMO. Thank goodness for that. Now that they're on XM, all people have to do is go to <a href="http://www.xmradio.com/">www.xmradio.com</a> and check out a free 3 day trial.  They're on channel 202 with Opie and Anthony.  Show is live 11-2 Monday through Friday, replayed that night at midnight with the whole week replayed over the weekend at different times.The show is fucking hysterical and you'll be purchasing a cheap Roady2 after your trial, I'm sure.
