I have been so surprised with how good this show is.  I've heard the ratings aren't so good, but if you like boxing it's an awesome show.  Alfonso and Peter probably fought the best 7 round fight I've seen in while.  Fonso's face looked fucking awful at the end.  It was tough to pick a favorite of the two, as they were my top two coming into the last round.  I wish they didn't match up against each other until the final. So who do you think will win the next semifinal?  Jesse or Sergio?

Jesse will win.  He's in the best physical condition and mentally, he's in a good place.  He's the only fighter to knock someone on their ass.

I'm hoping for Sergio, but Jesse has a punchers chance against him, if jesse gets through sergio (although i have no idea how with that gash on his eye) he should have no problem with manfredo.

Once the final 4 was set, Alfonso was my pick to win it all. He just looked unstoppabale, while on the other hand Peter hasn't shown me anything of note. As for the next fight, as much as I like Jesse, he doesn't deserve to be in the final four. Anthony dominated their fight and kicked the living shit out of him for 4 1/2 rounds. If not for one lucky punch, it was a clear cut unanimous decision for Bonasante. That said, I think Sergio should walk all over Jesse and make it to the finals against Peter where I think Sergio will win it all. I'm also bummed that the show won't be back next season as I heard it's already been cancelled.

After seeing Peter come back strong on Alfonso I think he can actually take a punch and stand toe to toe with a "puncher".  This makes me believe he'll take it all.  He avenged his only pro loss and now has to face either Jesse or Sergio in the final.  In that fight, it's a speed/endurance fighter versus a puncher with who is very athletic.  Jesse is a very patient fighter, and in a seven round fight his experience will really help against a young, less experienced Sergio.  Depending on Jesse and his weight situation, I'd probably go with him in the end.  However, it should be a good fight overall.

Well it's set, Manfredo versus the snake on Tuesday.  I'll be pulling for Manfredo, but Sergio has a ton a heart.  Time will tell.

From day ONE, my money was on Jesse.  It was sad to see him go last night.  I hate to make excuses for the guy but...he JUST fought 48 hours before fighting Sergio!  Not only the eye-gash but his whole body had no time to recover.  Sucks for him.Even with the injury and the exhaustion, he still put up a helluva fight.  Sergio will always wonder "...what IF Jesse was at 100%....would I have won..?"Jesses strategy of waiting-as-long-as-possible-to-fight really came back to haunt him here.  Two hour finale on Tuesday.  I think the "losers" come back on the undercard.

This should be a good final. I'm pulling for Manfredo, but I have to wonder if he can handle Sergio's speed. That boy looks hard to hit. I'm hoping that the two who lost in the semi-finals (Brinkley & Gomez) fight to see who basically finished 3rd.

Just a shame the show isn't coming back next season (at least to NBC), but that's what you get when you keep moving the timeslot of the show the first two weeks

Snake kicked Manfredo's ass last night.  It wasn't even close.  In fact, the closest score had Sergio up three points in a 7 round fight.  Hence they had Sergio winning 5 rounds to 2.  And that was the closest scoring of the bout.  Peter was really disappointing, constantly holding on to Sergio and throwing punches my sister could stand up to.  He had nothing in this fight.  Sergio on the other hand was a monster with his hand speed.  He was fighting Manfredo Jr. in the ring, and Manfredo Sr. outside the ring at the same time.  Alonso was awesome though.  I really would like to see him versus Sergio.  Heart versus determination.  He walked all over Jesse, while being very careful not to walk into that uppercut.  Great fight for Gomez. On a sour note, Sly was the worst commentator I've ever heard.  He wouldn't shut up about a rematch in the second round!  He kept it up right until the end of the fight.  As a whole NBC's coverage of the event was awful.  They never explained that some of the other fighters actually fought earlier and we had to figure it out ourselves when they all of a sudden showed highlights of them with no explanation.  They really dropped the ball on the coverage, bc it looks like there were some awesome matchups in there.  Jeff finally got to fight.....and thumped Cooper (I think).  Ishe got his shot at Anthony Bosante.  And from the looks of it, Ishe kicked his ass.  I loved the fact that Ishe wore a "I'm the true #1 Daddy" hat in the ring to piss off Anthony too.  Jimmy Lange also fought and won in one of the fights we didn't hear an f'n thing about.  Overall, congrats to Sergio on one hell of a run.  Watch out though, Alonso is coming!

Glad to see they actually put some thought into this and allowed Brinkley and Gomez to fight for 3rd place. As for those other fights mentioned at the end, WTF? Out of nowhere with about a minute left in the broadcast they throw up this montage. I honestly had no clue what was going on. I would have loved to have seen the Ishe-Anthony fight. The other two were "who cares" matches. Strange that they were actually voted for. Kudos to the Latin Snake. Even though I was pulling for Manfredo, I just knew Sergio's speed was gonna be too much to handle. As for wives, I must say that Manfredo's wife is quite the piece of ass and even though Jesse's wife has a big rack, she is very annoying when she yells. What really annoyed me about the final fight was how Sly and Ray kept acting like the fight was so close. They sounded like typical politicians, refusing to commit to either side. It was so clear that Sergio was dominating that fight. I had it at 5 rounds to 2 and that was being generous to Peter. He was lucky to win even 1 round. Anyway, fuck a rematch between Manfredo and Mora. I want to see the 3rd Gomez-Manfredo fight to finally settle it and then let the winner go on to face Sergio.

You remember that? "This ain't your night"! My night! I coulda taken Wilson apart! So what happens? He gets the title shot outdoors on the ballpark and what do I get? A one-way ticket to Palooka-ville! You was my brother, Charley, you shoulda looked out for me a little bit. You shoulda taken care of me just a little bit so I wouldn't have to take them dives for the short-end money.

I can't even follow this. I mean, why would we want to see a rematch of a fight that hasn't even gotten going yet? We might have to shut Sly's mike off."And Sly continued on this path throughout the whole fight.  I was surprised that Simmons didn't bring up the other fights dumped into the last 5 seconds of highlights.
